  1. I would wonder why only girls? What is wrong with helping disadvantaged PEOPLE?

  2. I guess Oprah and Tyra Banks are flaiming SEXISTS!! HA!!

  3. it's sexist to  helpe girls only period.

  4. Yes.

  5. no for both questions

  6. Yes, sexist to the core.

  7. People have only got so much energy, and they have to pick their priorities, so no.

    Cheers :-)

  8. I don't think either of them are sexist. A woman can help girls more because she is female and same for a man.

  9. Kinda in a way if you want to be technical about it.

  10. Interesting - honestly, no I did not see this coming.

I do not have a change in response, however.  Sounds exactly as the original scenario.

  11. The "sexist" part comes from the intent of the person giving the help.  If they are just trying to do good, and this is their best opportunity, then, although sexist in the purest definition, it doesn't matter.  The next good work they do might help males.  You have to start somewhere.

Once again, they are doing good, and that is the most important thing.

  12. No, in either case. If you choose to mentor a boy, is that sexist? No. If someone chooses to start an after-school program for inner city black youth, are they racist?

People who give to charities, or do volunteer work, have a lot of choices (there are a lot of people who need help), and the choices they make can be for any number of reasons. The REAL point, is that they choose TO HELP, and they should be commended, not condemned because of some kind of perceived sexism.

EDIT--I understood the question, dsds. I can only assume you didn't understand my answer. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to the "language barrier." (Right.)

And I'm in a Masters program in college. And you are in the 7th grade. Like I said, 29 is old to a twelve year old, I get it.

BTW, how long, I wonder, will it take you to get BOTH of your accounts deleted? I bet before the end of the night. What's your guess?

  13. i obviously still don't think it's sexist.

  14. No.

  15. You have your crosshairs tangled.  Sexism and elitism are separate issues.  And, anyone who helps anyone else to rise is a hero and it's nobody's business to judge us for who we choose to help.  I found these two boys living in the backroom of a bar who are like the best rappers on the planet.  I help them and it's like weird how people act like I shouldn't stand by these kids just because people might not like rap music.
