  1. Yeah, I'm just waiting for the merger to complete and then I will check out the packages they are offering.

  2. I love XM radio but mostly for the baseball.  I'm not sure I'd pay for any satellite radio service for the music or talk radio.  But I don't spend much time in my car.  When I do take long driving trips I enjoy the heck out of that thing.  So if you spend a lot of time in your car it might be something to consider.

I live in Memphis and frequently drive across Tennessee to visit family in NC - I HATE listening to all those podunk country music station throughout rural TN.  I'll probably keep my subscription for more than just baseball after the merger.

  3. no i would not

    regards x kitti x

  4. Why not?  The rates are supposed to come down.  It will be priced more like cable TV (might I add, another luxury people would "never" pay for).  You will be able to get something like 50 music channels for $7 a month. You will just have to pay more for premium channels.  Which will also be part of certain package plans.  I've had it for three years. It's the best $.40 a day I've ever spent. Old fashioned radio is hurting, what do you hear, 6 songs an hour now?  No thanks, I prefer music over commercials.

Oh yeah, the merger went though today. It's about time!!!

  5. If the price was resonable (Prices aren't supposed to go up for 3 years) and merged programming of sirius and XM together I'll probably do it.. my problem is I like the country music of xm but the rock of sirius go figure

Also everyone thinks the merger went thru... IT HAS PASSED 1 HURDLE, BUT STILL HAS THE FCC TO DEAL WITH (and the same broadcasters that you hate are putting the screws on the deal right now at the FCC)

Also people think that this will be commercial free forever, Sorry, after about 3 years; commercials are coming.. it's already on some stations and will be added to more I think after the anti-trust period passes.

  6. i've had sirius for 3 years and would tell you to sign up now

  7. Nope. I don't believe in pay for radio.

  8. I want to opt out of paying Howard Stern's $500 million salary.  He does the same s--t every day.  I listened to him a bit when I lived in Philly.  He wears thin.
