Would you consider the novel, "The Second Summer of the Sisterhood," literature?

I have to write an essay about a book I read over summer.

I have to briefly summarize the book and then talk about whether or not we consider the book to be literature.

Although it should be my personal opinion.. I still need a little help deciding. I guess I'm a bit confused what makes something "literature."

  2. ummm well o thought it was a good book - i didn't see the movie though... but the point is i think that litature is simply a book so unless you're talking about the movie yeah it's litature

    Yes, it would be considered literature. All books are. Maybe you were thinking of something else? If so you should edit your question a little. :)

    Since I am such a huge fan of the Sisterhood series, I'd also like to recommend the Twilight saga. Very amazing. The entire series is.

  4. I would consider almost all books literature. The book was good, and it will be a simple thing to summarize.

    Look up literature and read the different definitions on www.dictionary.com and it might help you out a bit in your decision.

    THe book is good, and clear- easy to summarize. Its a good series, but Im not all that into Kostos, who was Lena's boyfriend.
