I'm asking because we aren't allowed to wear hoodies in school anymore, for some reason, but we are allowed to wear light jackets. Which would this be considered as?

I would say it is a light jacket,because it has a zipper. Very cute,by the way. :)

If it zips or buttons its a jacket  if it goes over the head its a hoodie
