  1. zoot is not a word. it's often thought of as being a word, i.e., zoot suit, but it isn't.

  2. I would not sorry that sounds like a word I would put on the board! LOL websters pairs it with suit zootsuit try that word next!

  3. It is not in the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary, so no.

    But here is a surprise, the word ZOOTY, and its variants ZOOTIER ans ZOOTIESTm are in it, so, according to the OSPD, those words can be used.

    Here is something else to think about;

    The rules do not actually disallow playing phony words,  It is the opponent;s choice to challenge or not,

    If your opponent plays a word you know is wrong, look at it before challenging it off the board,

    For example;

    You have the letters  I R C O N A S on you rack. and you opponent does play ZOOT.  You may be able to use that Z to play ZIRCONIAS, that scores 20 points BEFORE any premiums Plus the 50 point bonus for using all your tile.  At least 70points! A very fine play.

  4. "Zoot" is not listed in the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary, so by the rules, it cannot be used.

    In an informal game, house rules apply.  :D

  5. It would depend on the letter I have in my tray and the lay of the board. I might be able to make a good score if I allow it.

  6. I'm going to say no, because in the dictionary "zoot" is not an entry, although "zoot suit" is.

  7. zoot is not a word

  8. is zoot a word? well i wouldnt cuz its not a word
