Would you date someone if they had a child?

No.  I don't like children and don't want one.  Even if I dated a man with a grown child, there would still be the specter of grandchildren to deal with.

Yes and I married him.  Of course the child lived with his mother, but I was an active and involved stepmom.

I have before and would again.  And of course, I'm very aware that by dating someone with a child, I'd never come first.  But that's ok.  I wouldn't have it any other way.

As  catholic, dating a divorced woman or  things like that is not good :\

I already did.  I might, but it can get complicated, and it wouldn't be my first choice of date.  I guess I'd have to be cautious.

My spouse has a 9-year-old daughter from an early "starter marriage," so...yes...been there, have done that (she was three years old when we met).

She does not live with us, though. She comes to visit us on some weekends. If he had full custody of her, I might have been a little hesitant. At the time I started dating him, I was not looking for instant step-parenthood.

Been there, done that, swore to never do it again. The kids were great, but their mom was a freakin' psycho! She tried, among other things, to get me fired from my job and to run me off the road one night. She impersonated my doctor's office to try to get my address from my employer. She was a total psychopath. I wouldn't do it again, unless the ex was stable and the kids were old enough that I wouldn't have to change diapers or listen to endless prattle about Sponge Bob Square Pants and Hannah Montana. Even then, I'd have to REALLY like the guy.
