Would you die for your child? Would you kill for your child?

Question

So say you had to die in order for your child to live on and survive, would you die for him/her?

What if someone was trying to harm your child and you caught them, would you kill them?

Definitely to both, without a doubt. My son is everything to me, I think it just comes with being a parent. I don't think anyone with children would say that they wouldn't.

I would not die for one of my children because I have to live for my other children.  But I would do everything in my power to protect that child from danger.  And if someone was harming my child it would depend on the kind of harm they were causing.  Permanent damage would result in them getting permanently damaged. I also need to try to stay out of jail for them to survive also.

i would do whatever it took to keep my child safe. and if that meant dying for them then yes!!! i don't think i could go on living without him anyway!!! i would try very hard not to kill someone who was harming my child. killing them would only take me away from my child and my child would think that you can take peoples lives into your own hands!!! i'm not so sure that i would be able to stop myself from doing great bodily harm to someone though!!! a mother will do what is necessary to protect her child as i'm sure so would a child's father!!!!

Yes and no. I would die for my child or my spouse in an instant. However if someone was trying to or would be harming my child I would not kill him. I might shoot him in the knee to shatter the kneecap, but after that I would hand them over to the Police and press charges.

In self-defense, if I had to kill for them, I would. But I would try and just immobilize or disarm the person first, because taking a life, to me, is not okay unless it is in absolute self-defense.

Of course I would die for my son-not even a real tough question. And if someone even thought of trying to harm my son I wouldn't just kill them-I would make them hurt for a good bit then kill them. Again, not even a question because it isn't something I would have to think about-I would just take care of it. There is a reason you don't mess with a bear cub--it's called Mama Bear.
