  13. I'd put my life on the line for my family, my friends and defense of my homeland, but it is up to God to determine when he wants me to die.

  14. If push came to shove and lets say Iran came over and started war with us i would most definitely join back up and defend the country that i love.

  15. In the name of invading another country, No.

In the name of defending my country, Yes.

  16. NO, not this country (USA). The people, maybe. In the name of the governing bodies over the country, NO - they have done too much harm to the American people for me to give up my life for their selfish intentions.

  17. I'm no hare-brained, brainwashed, blind fanatic. I have my logical, free-way of thinking. I would give my life if I know that the leader of my country is taking my nation in the right direction. If not, no way.

Adolf Hitler asked exactly that same question to his soldiers. "Are you ready to die for your Fuhrer and your Fatherland?". His soldiers said yes. Well, history had shown where Germany headed to.

  18. Wars are won by making the other guy die for his country!

Having said that, I've put my life on the line for my country, and I have the scars to show for it, too.  If push came to shove, I would do so again, as well, but it would have to be a h**l of a lot better reason than this Iraq mess.

  19. My grandfather swore the oath, my father swore the oath, I swore the oath, and my son swore the oath. The answer is yes on all counts. This represents WW1, WW2, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf. We love our country.

  20. I'd die for the idea of the US, a free state, a state for the people, by the people but I would not die for the Zionist Jew controlled government.

  21. Heck yes I would die for this country bcuz to me I died for a cause plus you only live once so heck yea I would die for my country I am going to the miliatay soon so I would it sorta kinda is a given you know that you could die for this country

  22. Yes, though I much prefer helping the other guy die for his, sounds cliche, but it makes total sense. I would die for my Country, I would die to protect the Freedoms that so many seem to discount and abuse on this forum, I would die so that the interests of my Country are furthered, and protected, I would die to protect the Constitution, and even the Flag, which is a symbol of our Country, that too many have dies before me to protect, to take lightly. I would sacrifice myself for those who are Citizens of our Land, yet choose to insult it, choose to abuse the Freedoms, and Rights that so many others have died for, ensuring that they continue to enjoy the Freedom to do speak their mind, even when that speech is uninformed, and hurtful.

Yes, I would die for the U.S., and all of the Citizens under her Protection, and the symbol of that Protection, the Flag.

To me, and many others, this quote symbolizes our Conviction, our "audacity of Hope"...

"And so, my fellow americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.

John F. Kennedy, Inaugural address, January 20, 1961

It's about sacrifice, service... not entitlement, not "taking", but about Growing, giving... earning.

Now, go ahead, start with the thumbs down, and realize that due to our Service, nobody will come crashing through your door because of your misguided hate, hate of our Flag, Our Nation, Our President, and of me, and my Brothers.

  23. I would and continuously put my life on the line for others.  I believe in Western Democracy, and the freedom of people to rule their own lives.  In essence I am willing to die for my countries ideals, and for my fellow citizens and shipmates.  Thank you to all my comrades in arms who I know have my back.

  24. I am a product of the Viet Nam era. I spent two tours there. I think if I did this and I did not have to go at all should tell you something about this country. Just as other soldiers, I think this country is the greatest country in the world. The freedoms that we enjoyed here was the results of my brothers in arms. ( some of the brothers gave the ultimate, their lives). I was one of the fortunate few. I thank the Lord for giving me life and the right to come home in one piece.
