theres a song by a band which is about her sister dying in a shooting and they asked her whether she believed in God and she said yes and she knew she would be shot if she said yes. would you say yes im not quite sure whether i would say yes because i believe in God but am scared of death......

To be honest with you, like helping a person being savagely attacked on the street or going into combat, I really can't say until I face that situation. A lot would also depend on your frame of mind at that time.

No way.

If God is real, why doesnt he show himself? Or why doesnt he stop all the bad things happening in the world like wars, racism, segration, sexim, extremism etc.

Simply praying to him didnt work for me and neither will it for anyone.

Not for religious beliefs, but for my country, then possibly. If our freedom was being threatened and our rights were at stake then yes I would, but as for an imaginary man in the sky, no, never.

Though I know of the story you mentioned and that young girl was brave and deserves respect regardless of whether the rest of us share her beliefs.

no cause thats nothing to do with life. if you believe in god you believe in the sanctity of life. Putting your life willingly in danger with chances of dieing to save someone else or for a properly just cause is something that is worth dieing for. But in the name of religion or god is absurd esp when it is a common commandment that one shall not take gods name in vain and if you are prepared to die in gods name you are taking gods name in vain.

As for the song in that situation I would lie and say no and that god would understand. once I'm in the clear I can continue to believe what I wish.

yes i would die for God. you people have alot to learn. i have seen the miracles of God. i have recieved the gift of the holy ghost. it is awsome there is no better feeling in the world. i have seen test where there was cancer then when the patient got prayed over and went back to the doctor there was nothing there. the doctors couldnt explain it. it was there God took care of it. so again he died for me i will for Him.
