Someone saw my baby's picture on facebook they sent me a message asking if I would let my daughter be in a photoshoot.

It will only take about 6-8 hours (including nap time).

I am not so sure about it, it could be really interesting because they told me I could have a few photographs of the ones I like the best this could be a nice thing to tell my daughter when she grows up.

But I am still not so sure about it... should I do it?

Oh and she is turning 1 in 2 days

  1. I don't know if I'd simply ignore it, as another person suggested (though that's definitely a better idea than going for it); I think I might actually consider contacting the police to say "There's a nut job in the area contracting strangers in an attempt to get access to their children."

Reputable photographers don't do that. I'm sorry.

  2. No....It is just a personal opinion.  I see nothing good that could come out of it.  I don't want Emma in that type of world...

  3. I wouldn' t do it, there are alot of creepy people out there. You never know they are for real or not!

But it's up to you, if you have a bad feeling about it, don't do it!

  4. Don't do it.  There is too much risk that the person contacting you is a predator.

You can always take your baby to reputable modeling tryouts -   department stores often advertise for babies to model their clothes.  You'll have plently of opportunties for taking baby pictures.  Get you a Sears photo club card - they take some really adorable pictures.

  5. NO. NO NO NO. Any legitimate photography agency is not trying to reel in customers on facebook. it's either dangerous, or a scam, or both.

  6. well if u r there precent at the photoshoot..

thats b pretty kool..!!and it wojld b a great experince..!!if the guy looks trustable then give it a shot

  7. I don't see why not. It would be a great experience and you get cool free pictures. I would do it and be flattered someone thought my baby was beautiful!

Well that other person is sort of right you would have to do some major investigating first and be there the whole time. I don't see how being off the internet is any creepier then a scout stopping you off the street..Still go with your gut it always knows best if you have a creepy feeling don't do it.

  8. No...mainly because I would question the motives of the person that contacted me.  Generally, a reputable company would have plenty of gorgeous little ones to choose from without having to take the time to seek someone out.  Companies are shown portfolios all the time of children that can be used in photo shoots, etc.  There are just too many pedophiles out there on the net that I wouldn't be taking any chances.

  9. wow it seems a little strange to me what is the photo shoot for? a magazine or what? i think i would be asking a lot of questions about the company and things like that i would probly do a little online researching as well  and then if everything checks out and seems to be normal then i would say yeah it would be a neat experience for the both of you good luck

  10. Will you be present the entire time?If yes then it would be a fun experience if no then when in doubt listen to your worries.

  11. Who exactly wants to do the photoshoot and whats it for? Its probably okay but insit you stay in the room so your daughter doesn't get distressed!

  12. i would do some research on ther person who offered to do the photoshoot. if they are professionals, i would think they would have some kind of website or something. if they seem pretty legit to you, i would go ahead and do it, but like others have said, i would stay with your daughter at all times.

  13. Maybe ask for references (local) that way you could thoroughly check it out. If they have done it before, and you can actually talk to thier clients.

  14. It's creepy. I would never trust anyone interested in my child on the computer. All my face book and MySpace accounts are set to private, so that strangers can't even see my babies! I would ignore the request completly!
