Would you do this to your car?

Question

I seen a car today that looked exactly like the Miller light #2 car. the same colors, BIG 2 on the side, i wouldnt be surprised if there was a signature over the driver door. would you deck your car out just like the drivers have theirs? I have thought about getting a black car and putting a small 3 on it, but i wouldnt go all out with it.

No I dont think so, about as far as I will go is put a sticker on my rear window or bumper. I would have like to have seen it though since it was a #2 car.

I've seen a Monte Carlo that had a blue Gordon Pepsi scheme painted on it.

If I was to come into some extra money and needed a project, I would do something like that, but not to my every day car though.

nope i sure wouldnt....i'd love to own a replica of one of the real cars but i wouldnt take a regular car and paint it up.

I change my mind i didnt check out GO 88 Dale Jr's links until just now, the 88 car picture is insane.....so cool I definentley want one now.

I have wanted a Dodge Charger painted with the Reverse Pit Cap scheme that Kasey Kahne ran in 2005 a few times (Indy in particular) for YEARS!  I would go all out with it.  This is the car that was white with 2 red stripes.  

And, I have seen Monte Carlos done with Jr's #8 Bud scheme multiple times.

I've seen this several times actually, in different places, one was a Jeff Gordon Pepsi Monte Carlo(about a 94-95) in Portland, OR. And I've seen not 1 but 2 #8 Budweiser painted Monte Carlos one in South Carolina, one in New Jersey. There was a guy in an Amp ad who did his Monte up as the 88 Amp car. Now me, I briefly flirted with the idea of doing my Cobalt(basically a scaled down Impala anyway) up as the 88 National Guard car, but the wife shot that down.

Not really a NASCAR thing but I did once see a Chevy Chevette, painted up as the General Lee, in New Jersey even.

Yes. In Michigan there is a car identical to the #24, #20 and a couple years ago a #18 Interstate Battery car.

I saw something like that about 10 years ago.  It was a Ford Thunderbird painted to look just like the same car you mentioned (keep in mind that car was painted black and gold at the time).  As I recall, the owner took the time to make sure all the decals were in the right place.

Of course I would never do something like that.  I wouldn't want to be affiliated with NASCAR's excessive hyperbole.
