Would you donate your old cell phone to a soldier?

At www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com, you can print out a mailing label to send in your old cell phone so that soldiers overseas can call home more often.

Yes, this sounds like an ad. (And yes, I think it's a worthy cause to advertise.) Still, what I am curious to see in the answers are (1)If anyone has a reason for saying "no," and (2)what concerns people may have. For all I know, there may be very legitimate reasons for not doing this.

I intend to spread the word around about this organization amongst my acquaitances, so I'm "test fielding" the question here before I ask anyone else about it.

  1. I plan on doing that as soon as I save all the old data from my phone before deleting it.


  2. Even if it all ends up being a hoax, you really don't lose anything. IT is your old cell phone after all....

    If it really isn't a hoax, you know you did goooooddd........donating to a soldier is a good cause
