Would you eat a carnivorous plant?

Like the Pitcher plant which is eaten by Orangutans.

I don't think I've ever had the opportunity to do so.  (I can't get pitcher plants at the farmer's market!)

When carrots sprout teeth and develop a thirst for blood, maybe I'll reconsider using them in a casserole.  :-P

I never heard of people eating carnivorous plants.

I would suspect there are loaded with bacteria, so it doesn't sound good to me.

Besides, it seems like an awful lot of trouble to go Borneo just for groceries.

Why does one person here have 12 thumbs up, one other person has one, and nobody else has a single thumbs up or down? That's odd.

No I won't because 1) most are inedible

2) some are poisonous

3) I am not an orang utan

4) I don't have to

5) I choose not to

But it is said that the liquid found in pitcher plants can be used as a narcotic.
