Vegetation is available anywhere, so I would eat vegetation. Why would there be meat in the situation you provided?

you can survive days, weeks without eating. i would drink as much water as i could and walk to the town.

Why is there fresh meat readily available to me in this situation, so far from civilisation where no vegetable or other food item is available?

Or is the question would I kill animals to survive? Well, if there's edible animals, there's vegetation or they wouldn't survive, so there might well be other things I could eat.

What I'd probably do is flag down the first passing vehicle, or use my cell phone to call for help - this scenario is taking place in the 21st century, isn't it?

Nope sorry.  I wouldn't eat meat.  

What I would do is start walking.    I might chew some grass or leaves along the way to get water but that's about it.

A 3 day fast is nothing, I'd find water where ever I can and start walking. If there's meat, animals, around there is also vegetation so I'd munch any vegetation I recognized also.

lol no. that isnt far at all. and are we like in a city? or a country road (like where i live) if it was where i am now... i'd walk, and snack on some leaves.
