  1. Maybe I can consider cycling instead of driving in little cities to avoid have an accident by cars,  in cities like Amsterdam in Europe or some cities in USA or Mexico.

  2. Only if it there was a huge bike lane.

  3. I do that now, and have been for 4 years now.  8 miles roundtrip for 5 days a week, who knows who much we've saved these past 4 years.

  4. Sure if there existed special bicycle lanes in my area to avoid being flattened by stupid distracted vehicle drivers.  But there aren't any.  Much safer to drive a car.

  5. if the roads were more safe I would-I do walk alot tho

  6. YES!!!!

ive done that for about 4 years in the city of Chicago.

its great any time, you get a great work out, save lots of money, dont have 2 deal with horrible traffic and car problems, you dont creat pollution, and u have fun doin it!,,, trust me gettin on a road bike and goin 2 work or out miles ahead of u is a great accomplishment. best decision eva!

    hope u consider it

  7. I didn't get my driver's license for four months when I turned 17.

  8. I do it all the time, I also carry a bunch of rocks to toss at drivers who have no regards for my safety.  I started riding as an effort to improve my health, wealth and to make a small statement.  Instead I get guys who try to drive next to me, honk, flick cigarette butts, scream "get a car".  So I fought back, with a mirror and rocks I'm ready.  Plus I actually beat the traffic, all the way to my work, its a little rough, but I figure I live in America, In Southern California, no less, the land of the idiots.  So to all those who have broken windows, little dents, and torn off mirrors from your car, you deserved it.

  9. I love driving but I have 4 bicycles and I ride the bikes as much as I can.  It feels great to ride, I save gas, good excercise, and I like to think I am doing my little bit for the environment.

However, I am blessed to live in an area where there are A LOT of bike lanes and the drivers are fairly watchful of us cyclists but STILL, there are frequent reports of cyclists killed by cars.  Safety is a huge concern if you ride.  Wear bright clothes, helmet and flashing lights and obey traffic laws and always assume the drivers are idiots and don't see you.

But to answer your question, I am already cycling instead of driving.

  10. It's a great idea, but the drivers in downtown Philly are such a**holes, I'd probably get killed.
