Oh, and the ceilings were only a little higher than 6 feet, and it was dimly lit with lots of smoke and workers always emptying ashtrays. Glass on the floor from various broken glass and bottles... ..

Maybe if there was a good reason to go back such as good music, good/cheap drinks, privacy...  Dive bars have their merits at times.

No,why would you take the chance of going there doing something those people you call "thugs" might not like you and probally get injured from them? plus if theres glass on the floor, brocken bottles, and ect why would you want to be there? dont sound like a cool place to be if you ask me...but its your life so do what you wanna but thats what id be thinking& asking myself if i was in that situation.
