I go everywhere barefoot, went on a trip just last weekend. I don't travel much but I never even take any footwear along unless it's below freezing (and haven't needed to take it out of my bag except to put it back in the bottom of my closet after the frost, for many years).

That sounds like it would be fun esp. in the warmer months. I would take a pair of sandals of course.
