Thankyou Alonso!

I've booked a holiday, I'm really looking forward to it, I'm just feeling a bit nervous about it!

  1. why not

  2. I LOVED travelling on my own. Sometimes it was a little lonely.....but mostly I enjoyed seeing places at my own pace (and sometimes just hanging out and just watching the world go by) and meeting lots of different people. You actually meet more people when you are on your own because you are not in your own little self contsained group.

  3. Yes, and I love it.  You get to experience all the things that you want and see them clearly thru your own perspective.

Even when I travel with friends.  I block out significant  time for me to "do my own thing" or try a new experience.

At first, it was awkward.. usually on a business trip, but I began to really enjoy trying new things and experiencing great food.. by myself.

The only schedule you have is your own.. and their no compromising on things to do or restaurant menus etc.

Go for it.. it's a great experience

  4. Yes and I'll tell you why. I believe most people don't ever get to experience being somewhere completely on their own. They have time to think and unwind in a whole different way. I believe it's a healthy thing for the mind and body to experience being with oneself. I'm engaged and I told my fiance she needs to do that. It could be a weekend getaway or a whole week somewhere. She agreed that in her life she's never done that. You can start by doing smaller things like going to a spa by yourself, then going to a movie by yourself, and after that try actually taking off somewhere by yourself, like a resort away from anyone you know. Good luck
