Where your favorite team was playing your second favorite team?

For me that would be the Penguins playing the Capitals.......and I turned down countless tickets this year to Penguins/Capitals game because I couldn't handle it. I hate watching it on tv as it is!

Would you be able to watch your favorite team play your second favorite team in person?

I can't......I always feel like it's a no win situation.

maybe. But I prob. wouldn't pay more than $100 for tickets.

ex. Anaheim ducks vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

So when the Yankees play the Rangers I'll be torn, but until then... I'm rooting for a blowout.

I don't have two favorite teams.

Sounds like you need to get out more.  Just because the NHL markets only Pittsburgh and Washington... (Crosby and Ovechkin), doesn't mean you have to listen to them.  There are way more exciting teams than Washington out there.  Oh wait, I guess it is exciting when your team wins a playoff berth in the last game of the year and loses an amazing first round playoff series.

Sabres/Leafs

Yep, I do it all the time. I try to get tickets to those games because Buffalo/Toronto are rivals and those games are always the most exciting games to go to(and the Sabres almost always win)

I don't have a second favourite team when the Leafs are playing.  When Leafs are out, then I have a second favourite team but if it's any team in the league against the Leafs, I will always choose the Leafs. Unless the Leafs are already out of the playoffs, then I would want them to lose so we could get a better draft pick.

Will, if you want to come and watch a hockey game you should come to Canada. The atmosphere at a Canadian game is awesome, I recommend the Bell Centre.

My second favorite team is whoever is beating the Rangers, so it constantly changes and wouldn't be a problem. It used to be the North Stars. I didn't carry it over to Dallas though.

A leafs- Pens Game would be ausome!!! Id root for the leafs because there my favourite but it would be a heck of a game. i would definately watch a game like that!

i would love to see this sort of game, (for me it would be Penguins/Rangers.) but unfortunatly i live in the UK and have to rely on watching hockey on TV and the internet. hopefully i'll come over to the states for a vacation sometime and get the chance to see a hockey game!

OK if the Flyers play the Iggles I would still go and that would be a hard choice of who I'd want to win.Maybe then the Phils will play the winner.Thats my scenario to answer this question.

I do all the time, I am from Buffalo, so I root for the Sabres, but I live in Tampa Bay, so I also root for the Lightning. When they play each other, I never know who I want to win.

The year I finally switched from the Pens to the Stars the two teams played each other. I didn't go to the game, but I reluctantly watched it on TV. They ended up playing to a 0-0 tie.

yea. I went to the winter classic this year. my fav team/home team is the sabres. and my second favorite is pittsburgh.

Definitely.  This year I was so excited to see the Sharks come to Prudential Center!  The Sharks are my favorite Western team (also my second favorite team).  I LOVED it because I finally got to see my other favorite players play live.  I was like the only Devils fan watching the Sharks warm up before the game!  :-D

Obviously, you want your first favorite team to win, just as long as they don't brutally beat your second favorite team.  But if your favorite team loses, it's not so bad.  The Devils won 3-2 btw.  :-)

I have multiple times! I went to watch the canes play the pens twice. I thought it was awesome but both times my canes won so i was happy but i still enjoyed watching the pens face off against the canes. It was special and if the pens won i wouldnt of been too upset.

i dad that and i got yelled at by my fellow caps fans THE ONE GAME IM NOT A CAPS FAN and my own bretheren mock me for wearing a modano jersey.  The stars rarely come to DC so i had to go as a stars fan even though the caps are my #1.  I was shocke to, i thought the caps were gonna get owned but the stars lost i had great seats(3 rows from the glass but i still didnt get on Fox 27 in dallas after the goals, i was pissed. haha

No problem. I'd love to go to that game. I am a Detroit Red Wings fan. It doesn't matter who my second favorite team is, I will be more than happy to watch them get their butts kicked at the hands of my first favorite team. That is why they are my first favorite team! Pens vs Leafs? I remember going back in 03 and 04 and half of the fans there were people who came down from toronto.....when the leafs scored a goal the mellon was louder than when the pens scored. Disgusting. Now Leafs fans can't get tickets! Ha! :D

The NHL should work to improve fan appreciation for its product in the Sun Belt.  To be blunt, who wants their children to see an NBA game and read about a drug arrest next month?   I don't think the NHL appreciates what a great product they are not marketing to a hungry public.

I will go to any game at any time. I will go to watch the players and the plays. I will want number one favorite team to win a tiny bit more. But I can still have a great time . It's a hockey game .

Phx and San Jose is my 2nd favorite team!!

Seen both teams play each other at their respective arenas.

1997 Coyotes vs Sharks at the San Jose Arena(now HP PAVILION)

All the other games at Jobing.com arena in Glendale, saw they play 2 times last season. About 7 overall.

Personally I'll always root for the Yotes over the Sharks. I have to be true to my #1 team DAMMIT!!  LOL
