Would you ever hire a company to work for you from the Services section of Craigslist?

I've hired people from the services section of Craigslist before, but that doesn't mean I take chances. I still ask for references and try to get a price in writing before inviting anyone to my home. When you ask for references, be sure to call them. Ask the person the exact nature of the work that was done and if they had any problems with the contractor.

Yes, I would, and have.  Once trust is

established through e-mail, phone

calls, and references.  I'd treat any

company the same way.

As with anything else, buyer beware.
