I know statistics say more and more of us are going to live in cities but although my home town is not alive with city energy I could not live in the poor parts of a city even though this gives you access to the posh parts were you can earn more money and get close to the culture that city life offers.

I mean the poor part look so dismal like a third world country of like its just finished a war and lost, I think I would only live in a city if I could be in the posh part and that is not going to happen (out of my price range) so I never will live in a city.

Will you, posh or poor?

  1. I live in the Mexican ghetto of what is a very nice Orange County city, Costa Mesa. Its a little cluttered at times but it is cheaper.

  2. There should not even be a poor part of a city. There should not be poverty. I am not communist because I do not believe in a dictatorship however capitalism has brought things over board in the opposite direction. Poverty is caused by a bad distribution of resources. No one needs tons of properties to make money from. No one needs 2 or 3 yachts. No one needs to horde lots of acres to themselves. The only reason we have poverty, poor parts of cities and countries going hungry is because others are greedy and societies encourage such a thing.

  3. no its not for me i'm a country girl

  4. Yes.  I'm a country boy, but have had to live in the city while in the military.  The military never has paid well, so you get what you can afford.  After the military I worked for a civil service organization providing job skills training.  Many of my clients lived in poorer sections.  Poor does not mean trashy or less human.  It just means not having as much.

  5. i live in the country....but my brother moved to a POOR city, and lived on the poorer side of it.

i was SO upset when i saw the homeless sleeping in the park across from his apartment.....it usually has more crimes to, but you got to make the best of any place.

posh ALWAYS seem perfect, but some times there are more problems there of the rich bitchy snobs....than there are of poor and kind hearted people.

i am going to stay in the country....but if i ever move to the city....i would go in the poor side and work my way out. like what americans should do instead of getting loans for houses they cant afford and then gat in debt, and then end up bank rupt in the poor side.

    start small and build up.....

  6. Idk, I've heard the pigeons carry machine guns and eat bricks. Ouch.

  7. yep, I would. But I am unlike alot of people. I have spent a good portion of my life living in those third world war touched areas that you are talking about and know just how different they are from the poor areas of American or other western cities. Try to open your mind a bit.

  8. I hope you have those choices in your life,

    not every one does.

  9. I would live in the poor part if i had to.

Of course like most people i would choose to live in the nicest place i possibly could, but i'm not "too good" to live in a poor area.

  10. I hope that everyone that meets you in public mugs you

  11. wow , you shallowness amazes me. i could understand about if you were concerned about crime rates. But no. Its like a third world country? Wow.. just wow...

  12. I had to live in a very poor part of a city, poverty was second nature and now I abhor it. I would  not move back into the city or at least unless it was a  better area and I felt safe ( if at all possible these days)

yes many are moving to cities to work and live  on economic grounds. it is a choice we can all make. mine.. thanks but no thanks If ? i can manage at all  without doing so I will.

  13. We all will once Ocommie(Obama) and the lib greenies destroy whats left of our economy.

People that live in poor parts of the city usually have no choice.

  14. I would live in the poor part that is where more real people live it is where the posh get what they have off the backs of the workers the poets and thinkers are there and this i know from personal expirence the best of my generation started there
