  1. Sure i would own a repossessed car. It doesn't come with problems that un-repossessed cars don't  have. No one is going to come and get his car back. There isn't any difference between a car that got taken away for non-payment and any other previously owned car from a dealer or private party.

You've got me on "previously repossesed", however. That would mean the vehicle was repossessed twice.

    Happy car hunting

  2. if it was nice

  3. ya i did its not like people are gonna steal it again or at least it didn't happen to me

  4. yes, since some old car are as good as the new version, or even better, like the honda accord

  5. Of course!  just cause the last owner couldn't afford doesn't mean I can't!!!

  6. Nope! I once worked for a car dealer driving car to and from auctions and often the cars he  brought from a repo auction in Detroit and when people know they are going to lose the car they beat the c**p out of them inside and out.

  7. Already do.  As far as the reasons why, it was well-priced.  I bought it on ebay, in fact.  Book value was about $10,000, and I decided I'd bid $5000.  Bought the darn thing.  It's been a good car, so far.  We've driven it about 60,000 miles.

  8. I would, so long as there were no identifying marks (such as a special paint job, or specific damage), or it wasn't a unique car (say an Avanti ) that would easily be recognized by it's previous owner. If it was say, an 07 Honda Civic, black, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The money I save on buying it from a bank auction would more than pay for any negligence the previous owner had inflicted on it.

  9. yes...

    because its cheaper?

  10. Yes, my Camaro was, but I didn't know when I bought it, and it turned out there was a lien on it.  D:<

    But it's all good now.

  11. Sure, all you have'ta do is look over a late model car to see if she was taken care of. If you see leaks, oil or other fluids, miss matched tires etc. .. you don't want it.

  12. No...because if the owner couldn't afford to keep up with the payment...he couldn't afford to keep up the periodic  maintenance.

  13. Only after a very thorough 'check -out'.

If it was 'repo'ed it was probably poorly maintained.

  14. Yes. As long as everything was in working order and it was a decent car. I'd most definitely own one if i could buy it cheaper than normal as well

  15. Yeah, why not. Its not like the person who got it repossessed will know where to find it. And it didn't get repoed because of the condition, just cause the owner couldn't afford it or something like that.

  16. Sure.... repossession just tells me the previous owner was late on payments, nothing about the quality of the car

  17. Sure. Being repossessed doesn't make it a bad car. However, like any other used car, I would have it checked out by a qualified mechanic before I bought.

  18. I would if I had a reputable mechanic check it out for me.

My reason being: if they couldn't afford their car payments, then they probably couldn't afford regular maintenance on the car, such as oil changes, fluids checked/topped off, etc.

  19. As long as it wasn't sold at a police auction.  You should get a vehix report.  There was this police station that used an unsold car from one of their auctions for 2 detectives and after 6 months they finally found a hidden compartment with drugs in it. If they searched your car they could say it was yours.

  20. yes. cause i would
