people pay higher admissions than that to go to museums, but for online images I wouldn't pay anything sight unseen, but would pay to get a higher resolution image, or image without a watermark

just about anything.  better to ask me how much i wouldn't pay to see something.  i have many times declined seeing something because i felt it cost too much (and even 10 bucks is too much for me, depending on what it is).  so, heck yeah i'd pay a dollar.  not p**n, mind you.  that's not even worth a dollar.
