I sure as h**l wouldnt, ever.

Why should I fight for a country that doesnt take care of it's own people?

Jobs going offshore, healthcare unavailable to 80 million people, College that costs so high it's unavailable to the average Kid Joe, a crumbling infrastructure, and soldiers that are returning home to substandard healthcare.

the day America takes care of it's own would be the day I would fight for it. Until then, the h**l with it

  1. I did.  Granted, during peace time and in an MOS that would probably have made me a "REMF".

There are different ways to serve, though... not everything has to be military.  If you're comfortable just being a leech, though, you're welcome... people who are better men and women than you could ever be will still step up.

  2. Yes, although I don't want to "throw my life away, I would serve to defend America just as the thousands of Americans who have served before us.

  3. Let me guess your an Obama supporter....And this ladies and gentleman is the typical Obama supporter

  4. I think you might be confusing "this county" with those who now control it. This country is undoubtablely worth fighting for, its the crooks who have hijacked it that aren't worth fighting for.

As defined by our founding fathers, its a country for and by the people. This is not the case today and we should fight to return it those principals.

  5. Never. I wouldn't put my life on the line for the benefit of the Elites. However, I will fight the NWO with my fellow citizens, so in a way that is serving. But on the good guys side, not the bad guys.

  6. I would never serve a country that favors the rich over the poor, a country that claims to be the land of the free but puts restrictions on so many people, denies rights to homosexuals that are given to others, a country who has shown over and over again that it only cares about the parts of the world that can give it something (i.e. oil, political victories).

  7. Well you are free to move to a country that you think is worth fighting for. Oh yeah thats a thing we call freedom.

I love people's mentality. Do for me before I do for you...lol....

Also how do you know anything about the healthcare Vets receive? Please dont site a news source.

I am a Disabled Marine who was wounded in Iraq. I have had nthing but great treatment from the VA. I just had mutiple surgeries without having to wait. I have had constant physical and occupational therapy. Everything from Massage to accupunture (for problems created by my wounds)

I just got approved for Voc rehab where the VA is paying for my entire college program. for everything from tution to paper and pencils. After the 1st semester they are buying me a new computer, printer and the riemburse me for my interent service. PAy for tutors. books. I dont have to spent one cent.

Speak of what you know about, dont speak for me and dont let the news speak for me either.

I would go back to the Marine Corps if it was possible. Dont worry someone else will carry your burden. What a mentality we have taught our people with all of this liberal c**p

ADDITION: Just wondering how many homelss shelters you have volunteered at this week. You know to help all of those people you are so worried about.

Also there is not a society that doesnt favor the rich or powerful, not one. In russia under communism the party uppers got extra rations even had their own lane to drive in on the roads so they didnt have to wait in traffic.

ever watch the discovery channel. when they go to those remote villages the chief always has the most wives and the phatest hut.

Even in the animal kingdom. the biggest baddest lion always has the best and biggest pride. the biggest shark always feeds 1st.

kc2qzd seem to forget about thinks like the tsunami where we gave millions in aid to countries that have nothing to give back to us. America gives more in aid both by the people and goverment than any other country.

Try going to mexico, germany, france or any other country and see how open they are to letting you use their healthcare system as an illegal immigrant from America?

I have been to 44 countries not found a better country overall than the US.

Also your figures are inflated to fit your agenda. Even the Liberal news reported that out of the 12 million unisured children 9 million of them qualify for the current goverment healthcare program for children but their parents have failed to enroll them.

Also your 80 million figure is talking about unisured people not people unable to afford insurance. Many of those 80 million choose not to get healthcare and use ER's as a form of healthcare. They say they cant afford it yet the have new cars, big screens, manage to spend hundreds drinking and smoking instead of buying healthcare.

Its not the goverments or taxpayers fault that these peple put healthcare below watching thier favorite show on a 60 inch TV screen.

I saw the same thing happen in the military, Stories about how military people had to work to jobs to pay the bills. I even knew people who were like that yet when I went to their home they had boats, new trucks big screens and the wife and baby didnt wear anything but name brand.

Its nice to have but it is also a choice you cant own things above your means and then complain that you cant afford a neccesity.

BY THE WAY i hold both US & UK citizenship. I wouldnt trade my VA healthcare for my UK healthcare. I wouldnt trade private insurance healthcare for UK healthcare either.

That being said I wouldnt trade the american tax rate for the tax rate paid in the UK for the substandard healthcare you get there.

They cant even hire enough people to properly do the job of healthcare for their country becuase their only means of funding it is though taxes and they are already taxed to death.

Look up the MSRA virus and read about it in the uk. the NHA leaders admit it kills 5000 people a year in the uk and is gettin worse becuase as they say "We dont have the proper staffing or funding for staffing to properly clean our hospitals good enough so it is spreading"

Try to get a dentist in the UK. I had to wait on a list for a year and a half to get assigned a dentist until then the only dental care i could get was emergency.

  8. Ha! Amen to that!

Hey Belairjr - Quit patting yourself on the back.  No one asked you to fight for us.  Sometimes it seems like you guys only join the military because you adore the hero worship.

  9. Take a good look at all your loved ones and people you care about, or even your own quality of life. are you saying none of that is worth fighting for. Sure our country has problems but that makes the people who fight for it even braver. dont let ineffective leaders like George Bush make you believe that its not worth it to serve your country.

  10. I have ,still do and will for as long as I am need.  I am glad you would not, we do not need any more traitor in our country. I have been wounded twice, the military took  excellent care of me.  We the Military do take care of you, and with out thanks. Get a job and pay your own health care, work and pay your own way to college,  that would prove your a responsible person, like  at least 80 million  intelligent people. The government does not owe your a living and things you want in life, work for it or do without.

  11. No I would not- I've already kissed the King's shilling (served), as we say in the UK.

Neither the modern-day UK or US- these countries are a very far cry than what they were opr reproesented 20-30 years ago.

I would contend very seriously that society and general life today is much worse than 20-30 years ago.

  12. dont worry Sal,we"ll protect even retards like you!

  13. Mmmn... a better question: would you ever serve humanity?  When I consider helping people, I don't think national, I think global.

Personally, I believe that allthough the war could be handled BETTER, it has indeed made an improvement in the world.

College is not impossible to obtain for the majority - it may be harder for some people to obtain a college education, but the hard work creates a work ethic that will pay off some day.  I'd say it's almost expected in the US for teens to attend college - it's a heck of a lot easier to get into a college here than in most other countries.

Healthcare is always availible - there is always someone willing to help, always someone there to lend a hand.  You just have to find that person.

Infrastructure isn't crumbling, I'm seeing infrastructure built in front of me on a daily basis, despite the pit that the housing market has fallen into.

America should not have to take care of its own first - do you want us to look like snobs?  Again, think global.  If you help your neighboor, they will at least hold some respect for you.  Every ounce of respect counts in the world.  There's no need to stay provincial, the way communications and business are now, it is incredibly important to have an active role in the entire world.

America is an impressive country.  Stop waiting around for a Utopia and appreciate what this country already has to offer.

  14. Ever consider the fact that your service might be needed to prevent things from getting worse?

I'm far from happy with the state of our country right now. The health care system is a mess, the politicians have been criminally irresponsible about the state of our economy, and our foreign policy for the last few years has been foolish, to put it mildly.

But let's also take time to count our blessings. Most of us have access to top-notch health care, which is more than can be said for most countries in the world. Our standard of living is still one of the highest in the world. We still have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and free elections, all things that can't be said of many countries in the world. Before you go unconditionally bashing our government and refusing service, think about what might be necessary to keep all that.

We're citizens of a democracy. It's our job to make things better. If you see so much to complain about, I hope you are at least contributing to a campaign or activism movement to help fix the problems.
