  1. Interesting question as both areas are vulnerable to changing weather conditions for tornadoes in Kansas and storms in the Caribbeans. So, I would guesstimate that it would be easier to predict storms and hurricanes because they can be seen to develop from satellite images. Therefore, I would pick the Caribbean islands to have a more reliable forecast.

  2. The island because it does not have the local effects like a thunderstorm in Kansas building into a tornado on short notice.

  3. A Carribbean island because the weather is more constant.  Most days are sunny with high of 85 and low of 75.  Sure they will have storms but Kansas has 4 seasons.  We always hear of the forecast of 3 inches of snow and instead get 12 inches. Also Kansas weather is prone to more powerful cold and warm fronts.  Weather in KC could be 85 and sunny and  25 miles away it could be 55 and raining.  Wide variations like that are uncommon in a tropical climate.

  4. Kansas

  5. Kansas, simply because there are more meteorologists and instruments gathering data anywhere in the U.S. than anywhere in the Caribbean.
