Would you feel comfortable being naked in front of strangers?

It depends.  If they belonged to a society where nudity is frowned on or bodies are judged, then I would not feel comfortable at all.  If I am naked in the garden, I take great pains to make sure I cannot be seen by others.

If however I was with a group of people who were quite relaxed about my body and not going to pass judgement (such as with naturists or some Germans), I would feel perfectly at ease.

I thought I would be. My sister and I have tanned topless and I started sunbating nude this year at my cabin. I wanted to go to a nude beach, but none were around where I live. So I was on vacation last week and made it a point to go to a place where nude swimming was allowed. I was a bit nervous at first, but I went with a friend and both of us had a good time. There was some initial shock because there wasn't anyway to be unnoticed when we were taking off our clothes and I know we caught some glances from others when we walked around or came out of the water, but since almost everyone else was nude or topless it wasn't that big of a deal. I spent almost an hour sitting naked on a log talking to an older nudist woman who goes to that beach all the time. After a while you didn't even realize you are naked. I can't wait to try another beach or some sort of nudist resort.

No. Especially totally naked.

I think I could do like a topless beach kind of thing, but not totally nude.

I feel like people would be looking at you weird and pervertedly.

actually, if it was just me, then yes, but if it was like a nudist beach, Id probably get over it quite quickly.
