Would you feel offended or encouraged?

Question

i have a relative thats in jail and i try to do all i can to keep him up lifted. i wrote this poem and i wanted to know is it more uplifting (leave the past behind) or negative (its your problem not mine).

whats done is done

go day by day

there's no need to worry

but there's a need to pray

we all make mistakes

have to pay for doing wrong

whats being done in return

deal with it and be strong

Don't be a dope,

Hold on tight,

And don't drop the soap.

I think that the person would feel encouraged by what you wrote.  If it is the one and only time the person has ever been locked up, this person is going to be down on them self for letting it happen to them self.  So any words of encouragement will be of a help to him/her, to not only get through this but maybe to do better in their life.

Good for you, its always a good thing to encourage people whom you love/care about.

They should be Encouraged.

Your letting them kno that You cant change the past so no need to Dwell on it.Look ahead to their future.&& learn from their mistakes.

Well there is an old saying, "The truth hurts". So when they first read it they may feel a little convicted but after they come to terms with their actions,it would be uplifting.  I personally will be adopting the poem into my everyday repertoire.
