My son and his wife both have Smart cars and are completely happy with them.

Yes. The car has good handeling and as long as you drive responsible you should be safe.

No...................I have driven this vehicles and you dont feel safe at all, they have a quick steering response and everyone is about 6 to 8 inches above you plus take one out and try it and take the turn around, you will see what I mean.

Actually, highway tests have shown that they are very safe.  They only scored below average when they got hit in the rear.  If I were driving one, I would be kinda nervous.  In America, we have SUV's and trucks that can weigh more than 6,000 pounds.  If you were to get hit by one of those, you would probably be killed.  In Europe, it would be fine.  They have very small cars over there.
