  1. That's not weird.  It's smart.. and will save you a lot in the end.  No one has to know but you... so as long as it doesn't bother you (which it shouldn't) then who cares.. go for it!!  I bought tons of stuff off of Craig's List for my wedding, and no one will ever know it's been used before!  Just me, my mom, and fiance!

  2. Not at all!!  Bring on the used items and clothing!!!  Please!!!...

  3. If my dress had been worn once I probably wouldn't mind if I could save hundreds or thousands. Though if it were between gently used for $150 and new for $200 I would go for the new one.

  4. i think of the product is worth the price and in the shape you want then its great saving there to spend elsewhere

  5. Most things I would have absolutely no problem with if it was used. The only thing I wouldnt re-use from another person is probably a candle. haha.

  6. If they are in good condition there is nothing wrong with it. Many people actually rent the wedding dress which of course has been used hundreds of times.

Is always good to save some money, besides you would have more to spend on your honeymoon.

  7. Not weird at all.  I bought my dress new, but my veil, petticoat, hair piece, etc. were all actually just borrowed from a friend that got married in the last year.  Saved me a ton of money and made her happy to see them get used again.

  8. That's not weird, it's budgetary minded. My dress is brand new, but there are a number of wedding items I have purchased second hand. It saves me a bundle, and looks just as good as new =] Good luck with your planning!

  9. What is the goal of a wedding?  To get married!  So if you can save money on all of the trappings of a wedding, I say go for it!  My husband and I had a beautiful, first class wedding with 65 guests and including clothing, flowers, cake, venue, lunch, sangrias, mimosas and overnight lodging we spent $5500.00!  Compared with the $50000. and more that some people pay, I would say we did well!  Instead of spending all of that on a wedding, we put it down on our 4000 square foot dream house!  Nobody remembers what they ate for lunch at our wedding, but they all know where our house is! I say your very smart for trying to save money!

  10. It certainly wouldn't bother me at all.  And it wouldn't matter if I had a second-hand dress if it was the one I wanted.  Whether things are used or new doesn't matter.  It's the wedding that matters, celebrating with friends and family and vowing your love to each other in front of those friends and family.

  11. SMART SMART!!!

I did that,..I had allot of "used" things...I got my centerpieces off of criagslist and then raffled them off so I didn't have to bring them home...My wedding dress was an "as is" dress that went for 800 and I got it for 250....Just keep your eyes open...you will find ALOT if you give your self time

    Good Luck

  12. Nope I didn't feel weird at all!  I saved a LOT of money and kept stuff out of landfills too!

  13. That would have been great, but we had a hard time finding the things we needed in the amount we needed, color, style, etc. for a decent price.  We ended up buying a lot of stuff, and we are currently selling it all on eBay and craigslist.  For instance, leftover heart confetti, champagne flutes and wine glasses, etc.
