Would you get a tattoo even if your bf/gf didn't want you to?

I got a tattoo a while back, and even though my bf didn't like the idea of it...and even though I love him, it wasn't about him! It was about me, and my decision.

I still love it but have heard stories of girls that really wanted to get one...but didn't because their bf's told them now to...what would you do?

Depending on how much I loved my gf/bf, maybe.  If I cared for him/her maybe not because I wouldn't want to ruin the relationship.  But if you don't think the relationship is going to last, then yes I would get one because it is my body and not his.  Plus if he doesn't like it, then he just won't be able to see your body wherever you get it.  You know what I mean.  :)

I'd get one if I wanted to; there's no guarantee the current bf is always going to be the bf.

I'd get it without having first asked "permission" from my bf.  It would then be a "SURPRISE!"

But yeah, I'd still get it.

The tattoo will probably last longer than the relationship so you made the right choice.

if hes telling you to or not to make a decision for yourself as long as its not harming you, than hes got some problem with control.

its not his decision. its your body so you can do whatever you want. i hate guys who try to control girls or try to change their minds for something they don't approve of. if your bf loves you, he wouldnt mind if you had a tattoo.

Yeah they should only care if you are getting like their name tattooed or something.

But we all should respect each other opinion and the finial decision still yours.

Luckily for me my boyfriend totally supported me when I got my tattoos,

but even if he didn't like it, I would have still done it. He doesn't own me and he doesn't make my decisions.

It's my body and if i like it I'll do it.
