a couple of my friends and I almost got into a fight with a bunch of punks who think they're cool by throwing milkshakes at cars,I wanted to break their jaws but I didn't want to be the first to swing. Whats the worst that can happen if you get into a fight and the cops come? What are the penalties?

  1. Its kind of really stupid to get into something as simple as a milkshake on your car that can easily be removed with a bit of water.

The penalties vary with the offence you've been charged with. It could range from disturbing the peace all the way to assault with a deadly weapon or worse. Each crime has its own punishment.

  2. You could be arrested.

Call the Police and they will be arrested for Vandalism

  3. Nope, I would not. The worst thing that could happen is not the police coming. It's the gun they may have in the car with them. Milkshakes wash off, bullet wounds do not.

  4. You could be arrested or told to knock it off. I know how hard it would be not to do anything about it, but the smart thing would be just to call the police. its not worth fighting over. Plus you never know nowadays if a person is carrying a weapon or will go off the wall.

  5. Don't get into a brawl over a milkshake. It's frozen milk for crying out loud! Find something better to fight about --

  6. That depends on how much damage you do to the "victim".  I know what you're thinking, I agree that it sucks too.  However, in the eyes of the law, if you break someones jaw and you come out of a fight with a small bruise on your chin, the outcome is not good for you.  I'm talking about felony battery.  Trust me, it's not worth it.  If you get a felony conviction, you can not own a firearm nor can you vote.  The best thing to do is get a good physical description of the suspect as well as a good witness.  Then, call the police.  You will come out ahead this way.  As for the penalties, that will depend on the decision of the presiding judge.  Also, some states have different sentencing limits on different charges.  Good luck to you.
