Would you get married in Black and Gold?

Question

this will be my second marriage and Im no spring chicken anymore ,but Id still like to look pretty and styly....

I woke up one morning thinking black and gold ( maybe the sash ,or gold lace bolero type jacket......

It is winter here too at the moment so cant wear anything summery......( cuz I do love pastels alot too ).....

friends says ....nooooo.....my sis says wear what you like God dont mind ,hes more interested in other things ...lol

What do you think......

( btw if ya think black n gold is strange I saw this awesome black wedding cake with piped white design-amazing!....

It's your wedding, if that's what you like and that's what makes you happy Go for it! Who cares if anyone else likes it or what they think. It wont be so bad since it's winter.  Good luck with whatever you decide I hope it turns out good for you!

I think that would be very elegent and beautiful. But i think it would best suit a wedding in Autumn. I think you should do what you heart says - This time around you don't need to worry about the constant harrasment from family members and trying to keep everyone happy.

You only live once! If you like these colours then go for it!

i like it its different why just have a basic plane white and black wedding i did mine in all black leather so its your wedding and if that's what you want go for it girl enjoy your day and the gold sash i can really picture it looking good

I got married in April and one piece of advice i can pass on is this.. its your wedding, and you will never please everybody..so go with your gut and do whatever you and your partner want! congratulations and goodluck : )

I think a red and gold (burgundy and gold?) wedding dress would be a lot easier to find.... You could have the bridesmaids in black and gold....?

Congrats! I don't know about a black wedding dress but I think those would be pretty wedding colors. You can wear a white and gold dress or a cream and gold dress. And everyone else in the wedding can wear black and gold.

its nota bout color but about what you feel beautiful in.  dont settle ona  color yet, so shopping now and find what you love on.  and winter or not you can still wear pastels.  Find a great dress or outfit and then plan your colors!

There is no reason you cant wear black I have seen brides wearing all sorts of colours these days and I think they are all lovely. Its your special day and only you have to be happy with the colouring so go ahead and enjoy your day

It's only going to be strange because people are so use to formal wedding attire.

This day and age why not do what you want to do.

Maybe not go for that eye catching gold but a nice toned down gold like you have suggested as a bolero or maybe black chiffon etc material with a gold fleck through it?

Enjoy your wedding and make it all about the celebration with friends and family.
