I did, and you wouldn't beleive how much I received back. A thousand fold. I did not beleive it at first but I found out the secret . You have to givet first and then you receive. No other way to know, no other way to find out. It is very hard to do , no kidding! I did start slowly at first and then notice that my finance were getting better. It gave me the encouragement to give more and the more I give the more I got. I got very excited about it and then started to give a little more . Guess what ,the harder it wast the more I got. And then I slacked off for a while and stop giving, I cancel a lot of my automatic payments for charity. This week I started again . I sponsor a hope child from world vision . His name is Theodore. I am just thill about it. Enough said. I am hoping that every one of you will be blessed rightly this year.

  1. i have not started serious work yet, but i will definitely be giving away a good portion of my earnings when the time comes. i want to honestly help people less fortunate than me in just about any way i can whether its donating money or hands on work. it will make me feel good and more importantly impact someone elses life. i do have a sponsor though from africa...his name is Thaddeus and i send him money/ letters every month.

  2. nope. Would not trust the people taking my money to ensure it went to the people I gave it for! Sorry.

  3. It's better to give than to recieve,,,

  4. I think everyone should give whatever they could afford and that is defined by the person who is giving. I believe the intent of giving is much greater than how much is given. If i gave 5,000 dollars to a charity marathon but had no interest in participating, would that make me better than the person who gave 50 dollars but ran the whole marathon?

  5. How do you get paid back for giving to charities? I dont get it. I cant afford to, otherwise.. its a pretty good idea.

  6. Would and do.

  7. Only to the homeless and poor in the USA!!!!!!!

  8. I have been donating for years, every two weeks, and I haven't been "Blessed" yet.

  9. I think it's a great thing to do.  I read a magazine article about people that give 50% and more of their yearly salaries.  It's awesome and if my husband and I made more, it's something I'd love to do.

  10. Paying tithes is the answer.

You brought up a good point,

I need to give 10% and I will be blessed.

  11. I wish I gould but in my life right, if I did give that much, I to would be come one of the many homeless! for I make just eough money to get me by, and to be one of the lucky one to have a roof over my head it is not much, but its  home!!

  12. h**l, no!

I spent most of my childhood being poor, with my family living off of government aid. It's up to each individual person to make a better life for themselves. Hand-outs are not the answer.

I worked hard for my salary...I don't see why I should give some of it away.

  13. I sponsor through World Vision too!

I have two kids through them and thats mostly how I donate.

Other than that, I donate to local charities if I have the money.

Mostly I usually give to homeless people. Usually its loose change but I sometimes give out $5.

Last Christmas I gave one of them $50 and a Christmas card.

He's a really good guy, an old Vietnamese man who barely speaks english but gets sooo happy when he sees me.

He always gives me a small gift when I give him money.

Oh and I also send money to Pakistan. My mother sends the money to her brother there who then donates it on our behalf.

Whenever she goes there she takes suitcases full of warm clothes because the winters there can be brutal, especially for the poor ones.

    Other than that...not much more.

Im not sure how much percentage that is. Im a university student so I cant afford that much more.

I think if I shopped less and if I bought less books (my library is reaching the 1000 books mark lol) I'd have more.

But I think for now, its a good start.

Glad to know you are helping out others:D

  14. yes you have right, i try it to, and my religion ( Islam ) is talking about that if we do good things we will gain many benefits on  earth, and then in lifeafter, and more you give money more you will become rich, take care
