Would you give your little brother a condom?

im nineteen and im raising my thirteen year old brother. He asked me for a condom. i tried telling him that hes too young to be having s*x and he got mad. We are very open about s*x because i dont think its something that she be hidden or not talked about. Should i give him a condom? i mean, wouldnt it be better than him not using one at all?

Frankly, I'd slap him upside his head... but you're right - s*x with a condom is far better than s*x without a condom.

You might inform him that s*x with a minor is statutory rape - willing or unwilling.

I think you are right.  You should tell him he is too young to be having s*x.  If he is curious about what they look like, you can show him a picture on one on the web, but I would not be giving them to him.

However, you should tell him that if the time comes when he is going to have s*x then he should definitely ask the girl first (not just spring it on her) and get back to you about getting a condom.  Tell him when he is 18 or 19, he will be old enough to buy them on his own.

I would not give a 13 year old a condom. That would let him know that you approve of him having s*x. Try sitting down with him and ask what is going on. Does he have a girlfriend? Do they spend unsupervised time together? Which is a no-no..

He may be to young but it's better to know that he is careful.  I receive mine from my older cousin when I was younger.  It showed that he did care about me to look out for my safety.  I was about 15 when this happen.

I personally wouldn't give him the condom.  This is due to the fact that he is to young to be having s*x.  The legal age for s*x for it to not be considered a type of rape is 16.  If the girl that was willing(and stayed willing) told her parents,  your brother could be charged.  Its best to tell him to wait until 16.

Tell him about the dangers of having s*x(hiv, stds, and such).  I know you probably wouldn't want to teach your brother it. But most boys around that age(13-16) usually just cool off the s*x steam by jerking off.  Although it just goes up to forever haha.

I personally would wait,  i waited until my teenage love.  Not a spur of the moment s*x.  Tell him that s*x with a unconditional loving partner is ten times better.

just give him the condom. he probably wont use it. at 13 when we had our s*x ed classes they gave out free condoms (you were supposed to practise puttin em on a banana) and the lads used to just show em off, make jokes and blow em up.

well if the abstinence talk didn't work. then you should by all means give him a condom and show him the correct way to use it. also explain the responsibilities and the repercussions of taking that next step..i can't tell you how many times i see kids get screwed up cause they used the condom wrong, of they couldn't figure it out and decided not to use it at all...

TALKING IS SO VERY IMPORTANT. don't lie to him cause he'll know. they always do. just be frank and honest. tell him you love him no matter what he decides and that there is no pressure either way. this way he'll be more likely to come to you more often.
