God no! I am a microbiology major and i love it, and people so those two go hand in hand. Anyone who does this is just stupid, because if it is just for the money they will never survive, plus it is hard as h**l and dangerous to be in the medical field one wrong choice and your patient is dead.

There is a girl in my class who is training to become a nurse. When the term first began we had to introduce ourselves and she said "I am not going to lie, I am in it for the money" I about died- a nurse! You have to have compassion for for people you are helping! Please do not do this just for the money. Taking care of a sick person is a much bigger reward then a paycheck when it comes to the health-care field. There are lots of other careers-look up Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS.gov) This will provide you with top paying jobs far away from the medical field! good luck!

I dont' think anyone should go into the medical field just for the money.  If you don't love it and care about people and all you care about is the money you won't treat people with care and concern.

It is probably not a good idea, but, as I as long as a person can do their job I personally don't care.
