Okay, I went to Paris for 4 days two years before in the summer. I went to the Louvre, Eiffel, Versailles, everywhere. Now my friends are going on a Eurotrip for 12 days in the winter and 2 are spent in Paris in the exact same places. I want to go, to see Switzerland, Germany, Austria, England, and Italy, but France I've already seen, and I don't really enjoy museums and such. It costs about 2300 dollars for the trip. Do you think it's worth it? Would you go to Paris to see the same things again?

  1. I would, but I love Paris, museums, art, history, food, fashion, walking, buildings, did I mention food? and art?

but that's me....if you don't want to go again, go somewhere else...Life is to short to spend $2K on something you won't love

  2. I was twice in Paris.

    Had great time!

  3. There is so much to see that I would be willing to bet you would see new things.  Yes, there are the "tried and true" things, The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysee, but, for me, I could never see it all.  If you don't love it, then maybe it is not worth it for you.  Or, on the 2 days that you are "there", take day trips to Chantilly (great castle of the Count Conde and a fabulous horse museum -- if you like horses), go outside of Paris to other 45 minute by train destinations.... great outlet mall near EuroDisney at Val d'Europe (if you like high end shopping at outlet prices....;)

  4. I live in Paris.....

    Trust me it sucks...

If U'r rich ok but if it's not the case...better stay in america...

The food is the only thing that I like in this country...

  5. Well, the trip seems like fun and they're only going to be in Paris for two days so I'd go. And besides, maybe you could show them some things that you saw last time that might b interesting and I'm guessing it'll be their first time, so you could also be like their tour guide as to where some places are etc. I would go cause it's not like the 2300 dollars is all spent in France or what not. The whole trip costs that and hey, not too many people are lucky enough is visit Paris. let alone twice. I say go and have fun...museums or not! :)

    Ciao!

  6. No, Paris is worth visting once, but I would not go again. Try Rome

  7. There is lots to see in Paris besides the main touristy sites.  You obviously don't have to do the same activities over and over.  Make a point of reading a couple of guidebooks (you can usually even borrow them from the library), and note some of the things that are not quite as well-known.  It shouldn't take very many of those kinds of things to fill up two days!  For instance, did you walk through one or more street markets (rue Montorgueil, rue Mouffetard, rue Cler, or another)?  Did you wander through the Marais, Quartier Latin, or Montmartre?  Did you visit the Conciergerie, Musee du Cluny, Centre Pompidou, or Musee Rodin? Did you take a cruise on the Seine?  Did you go to Jardin du Luxembourg or Palais Royal or Place des Voges?

  8. Everywhere?

You went everywhere and saw everything in a city that has been around since the time of the Roman empire in FOUR days???

    Amazing.

I've been going back to Paris every couple of years for 35 years and haven't managed to go everywhere in Paris.

Obviously there is no point in you ever going to Paris ever again.

  9. I wouldn't go to Paris once!

  10. Oui.

The thing about it is that you can do your own thing in France.  You don't have to stand in line at the Louvre again.

I'd go to France just to have a good meal.
