it'd have a dance floor, karaoke, open mic night, virgin drinks, couches, and a limited food menu. basically like a huge coffee house but instead of coffee, virgin drinks.

also we'd implement certain fun nights, like glow parties, movie night.. etc. let me know if you have any more ideas.

cover charge?

more directed towards the ladies who just want to have a good time with their friends, but guys can come too.

-possible two story: alcohol would be served upstairs if over 21. more of a lounge than a dance club. but still fun. suggestions?

  1. Personally..I might go for a short time only out of respect for the person inviting me.

  2. I think everyone else here is very sour. I'm 22 and I'd absolutely give that a go! Although, this is coming from a non-drinker. Having said that, there are plenty of us :) and taking alcohol out of the equation would probably provide quite a nice environment, like you said, a coffee house.

Also, if you're not serving alcohol, it's a good alternative to the pub for underagers. You could run teenage discos and stuff. I'd maybe only apply a cover charge if you had an event like a band or something, though, or it could be hard to get people who would regularly drink to give a sober night out a go!

  3. The last time I ordered an alcoholic drink in a public place it was an outrageous price!! $12 for a Margarita and $6 for a beer?? Well, since then I just get a glass of ice water and sip that.

Here the laws have gotten to where a lounge serving an alcoholic drink is responsible if that person gets into a vehicle!! The laws say that 7 drinks is a legal limit, but the breathalyzers are set to score a person drunk if they have even a sip of alcohol.

So YES!!! I would go where there is no chance of alcoholic beverages being sold!! I would also entertain in that location. I would also be interested in owning or managing that sort of establishment!!

  4. Sorry, not really.  I would expect such a place to draw an under 21 crowd, so that's part of why I would not go.

  5. You should totally do this you would make a killing on the under 21 crowd give or take ur location and all there are enough bars around go for it great idea.

  6. I think that that's an awesome idea! I live in a really really small town, and my friends and I are always lookin for a place to go and chill.. cause we don't have a lot of places to do that around here.. so I think that's a really good idea, and I bet you would get a lot of teenagers that would wanna just come and chill with their friends and have a good time. :]

  7. I wouldn't waste my time at a lounge/club if there's no alcohol.  However... my brother who's 17 and his friends from High School are always complaining that they have no where to go.  So it depends on who you're aiming your crowd to be.

If you go with the High School Crowd, then there shouldn't be a cover charge, only pay for the drinks.

As for the idea of  upstairs for over 21.  We wouldn't go to a building that had youngsters in it.  Even if it is a different floor.

    (I'm 24)
