Would you go to a woman mechanic?

If you was at a shop and the only person left to fix your car was a woman. Would you feel comfortable with a woman?

  1. If I had to choose between a male and a female certified mechanic, I would most likely go to the Female mechanic, since this industry is dominated by males and a women would have to be more knowledgable to actually get into this feild

    I would definetly trust a female mechanic if they were certified.  Ofcourse experience also plays a big role, and sometimes it also comes down to who has more experience.


  2. Sure unless she had clean hands and manicured nails.

    Oh and just to throw it out there an ASE certified garage means nothing ASE is very easy to get. One garage I worked at had the ASE sign proudly displayed out front and the only one certified was the secretary.

  3. male or female, it does not matter, i have met some very good female techs, i had one for an instructor for a while. she gave me some tricks that i used to get my car to run smoother and pass smog regulations.  

  4. No I would not.  But to be fair, I don't go to men mechanics either.  I do everything my self.  It's much cheaper and much more rewarding.

  5. No.  Women belong in the kitchen, not in the garage.

  6. h**l yea we have a friend up north i heard she was a gearhead so i met hear she drives a cougar, black with a body kit ,she is an excellent mechanic she impressed me actually..... and it help that she could pull off being a model for her own car

  11. sure! as long as she knows her stuff, i would,nt have anything against a woman fixing my car. in matter of fact i saw some women better then some men.

  12. as long as she knows what she is doing, i dont care. i have seen women build race cars, as well as drive them.
