Would you go to school or have a baby?

I would like to go to school but the program is impacted for a few years (at least two) which is time enough to have another baby (we have a 3 yr old)... Should I wait until I graduate (up to 5 years-medical field) or not let schooling determine my family size?

  1. I think that if you are questioning it, it's probably not the right time for a baby. You just need to weigh out what's more important to you. Your career or adding to your family. And don't get me wrong both of those are fabulous choices! :) Good luck!

  2. IF you feel that you are stable enough to support another child go for it now. Studies show that siblings that are between 3-4 years of age difference build stronger relationships than siblings with larger age gaps.

  3. Have you considered going to school over the web? You can go at your own pace, and still have your baby!

There's so many alternatives you could chose that wouldn't make you put your life on hold.

I, personally, think education is important and should be taken advantage of whenever you get the chance. But, babies are good, too! If you can't decide, I'd do the internet classes.

    Good luck.

  4. school.. you want to go to school  first. you will be so tired and it might be hard going to school while having a baby and you will miss alot more school when babys is sick or if there is any problem you might have to give up going to school. heaven forbid but you never knwo.. at least when the first one is a little older that child will be able to help you out alot more

  5. My dear Brita....

That's a difficult Question.... and to "h**l" with what studies "showed"...it's rather a Q. of economic value...in today's unstable economy, it's advisable to have a good prof.foundation!!!You didn't mention if you are married or not??Either way...some "husbands" don't stay..."forever" & then it's up to  YOU  to be the "breadwinner" of your family, so this is why I would definately chose to educated myself further...in order to support my children better!! It's always time -later- to have a second child & believe me, the age-difference is  NOT a primary factor ! (the age difference of my 2 kids are 14  yra. & they love ea other "to death")!

Hope you'll make the right decision...-wish you all the BEST of everything...from Germany... Annette****
