  1. Well...first off...who's the silly goose who answered the phone and then came to work in conditions where the public has been advised to stay indoors?

    You!

Now, that aside...he's a jackass for telling you to come to work, but you have EVERY legal right to refuse to leave the house in those conditions and he cannot fire you or threaten your job.

Unless he physically forced you from your home, into your car, and drove you down the road...you decided to go to work, and should quit your whining and work already.

Sorry to be tough about it, but that's the truth!

  2. if u r speaking of a real hurricane u should never go to work, ur boss is really crazy. Just tell him/her u can't come, and u were worried of a punishment or something make some excuse up

  3. Well your already there. You should of not answered the phone and stayed home. Blame it on the car, power got cut off..Something..I wouldent of went. But since your there..enjoy..sucks to b you..lol..just kidding..becareful out there

  4. i'm here in south florida. its gusty and roads are unsafe. i had off anyway but if i was told to come in i would refuse.

there are few people that need to be at work: doctors, police, etc..

  5. I have heard that the head owner makes people come to work in blizzards even though he won't make it in. Is your boss at work too?

That is crazy. But it may not be that bad. I don't know. I could see us being made to work. It's rare that we've closed due to bad weather.

    Safety should come first.

  6. Your boss is crazy
