i can not have a baby , but if i could , i would want the child to at least have a chance at life , rather than abort it . i believe sarah palin did the right thing. does anyone else feel the same way ? does this make her a stronger woman in your opinion ? can this help her as a candidate on the McCain ticket ??

  1. Down syndrome people live happy fulfilled lives, they work, get married, have families, to abort one is just MURDER!!!!

It took me 4 years to finally get pregnant, I would not abort her just because she was not "perfect"

Downs syndrome is not a disease, they are missing a cromizone now if my baby had Tae-saks, or some other fatal or cruel disease, that would be another story

  2. i just found out her 17 yo daughter is pregnant, oops!!!!!!

  3. No matter what was wrong with the baby, I'd still have it. It is God's gift and he made that baby special for a reason.

And besides, doctor have been wrong before, why not again?

  4. The gift of a child is a wonder in life. I respect her decision to give life to the beautiful baby boy, and I'm sure his life is more than worthwhile. His entire family loves him dearly, and anyone who says otherwise can burn in the pits of h**l.... Oh sorry, I get a little worked up on this one.

    McCain Palin 08!!!!

  5. I think she did the right thing for her (no pun intended) but I do not believe the same decision is best for everyone. I just fundamentally believe it is wrong to legislate whether a woman has the right to choice when these types of decisions have to be made.

  6. Not me.  She is so brainwashed with her religion that she was willing to have the baby.  Fortunately, she only has that one blind spot, and seems quite capable in political matters other than the abortion issue and school prayer.

  7. 90% of Down's Syndrome babies are aborted................so that should answer your question.  Most people are choosing to abort.

I admire Sarah Palin for giving her baby life..................it says a lot about her as a person.  She didn't choose her own convenience, but gave her own child life...........

Of course, it will help her - right decisions help us be better people.  The choices we make shape us....

  8. Yes, I would.

  9. I don't know what I would do at the time.. A friend of mine chose to have theirs, unfortunately.. She died a little while after.. I think it's great for Palin to make that decision, but I wouldn't hold it against her if she made the opposite.. What a hard choice to make!!

  10. This has nothing to do with politics. This seems to be an ongoing discussion for what 'makes her a great candidate'. I find nothing heroic about keeping your child. Great for her, but a woman deciding to keep her child happens every single day in America.

  11. As a republican I will try to answer you honestly.  I don't know what I would have done.  I don't support abortion at all- why not just use birth control?  But if I was pregnant & knew my baby had downs syndrome I would probably consider abortion.  I am so glad I never had to make that decision.  So I have tremendous respect for Sarah Palin, she made a very difficult decision & I think she is just absoulutly fantastic!!!!

  12. if something wrong with the fetes, I would abort.

  13. I am pro choice, but I would not abort knowing my child had down's syndrome.  I think every child is special, but I do consider them God's special angels--they are the true innocents.  I do think she is a very strong woman, this does help her with certain groups in running as vp.   ***

  14. I admire her decision; however, do we even know that she knew the baby had Down's syndrome prior to giving birth?  She may have decided to not have the triple screening and/or amniocentesis done to check for it.  If she had, perhaps her decision would be different.

I admire anyone willing to take on a special needs child.  A good friend has a son with Down's syndrome and while I admire her strength and courage, I don't know that I would be able to handle it.  This is a tough question.  I'm pro-choice, but I don't know if I could personally go through an abortion.  I pray I never have to make that decision.

  15. Absolutely, yes to every question.
