Would you help someone if it compromised your values and beliefs?

Question

To break it down since this question can be expansive, let's say someone asked you to help them for 3 months, but by helping them you would be compromising your value and beliefs in your own life. I cannot give you a "context" in what it would be because each individual will view that concept in a different light, so base the concept/ action on your values and beliefs (whether religion, life's purpose, etc).

If it compromised my values, I wouldn't classify it as "helping."

I am not sure.  That is a very difficult question for me.  I feel through my stomach, meaning, if I dont feel like I am doing the right thing than I get ill and can not control my nerves.

it depends on who and why am i helping them. My religion states basically if someone needs help and you are able to help then help the person. But it just depends on circumstances.

no my values are not compromisable!  now the lower values in my life yes!  but not my top 10

that would be like someone telling me not to be creative for 3 months

But what i would do is find someone who wouldn't mind giving up their values or have different vaules i woudln't leave them out to dry.. i would help find someone to help them!!

I would help someone to the extent of my resources and patience, unless it was illegal.  One's willingness to help another of a different belief is a demonstration of maturity and charity, and as such would be putting my beliefs into action.
