Would you hire a nanny for your baby who only has experience with preschooler?

I applied for a nanny position thinking I wouldn't hear back because I don't have experience with infants. The position is for helping out with 2 month old twins and my only experience is with preschoolers. I do have some experience with toddlers, but this is so minimal, it is nearly negligible. I was surprised this morning when I got an email back for an interview. Do I even have a shot here?

  1. i'd say so yes. as a mum you know you have to learn in order to look after babies. everyone does it for a first time and it's quick. you have no other choice as babies don't come with manuals. so i'd say give this interview your best if you want the job. i'm sure they won't just let you take care of the twins all by yourself to start with anyway.

  2. you were offered an interview so clearly you have a shot.  Put your best foot forward and show them that while you have limited exposure to babies you are ready to learn and would be the best nanny for their infants.
