Would you honestly name your infant child "Talula does the hula?"?

The judge ruled in the interest of the child who was so embarrassed by her name that her dingbat parents saddled her with.

Why would parents intentionally damage their children by giving them such cruel names? What do you think is the motive of the parents?

For the same reason celebrities do it; they think it's original. Original names usually end in the kid getting beat up in the play ground.

Did the parents really name their kid "Tahula does the hula"? Maybe they hated the kid...

However I am surprised the registrar let them register her as this - they can refuse if they feel that the name is inappropriate.

Maybe hey were on drugs. It certainly doesn't excuse it. Originality is one thing. That just puts them in a low class of people that obviously do not have the decent-basic skills to be able to be responsible for an innocent human being.
