You've heard it said: "We all worship the same God"

And It sounds promising: Outlaw all conflicting religions in favor of an authentic, certified, state-mandated religion. If you dissent, you might be the only problem on Earth. Wouldn't it be best to Join?

  1. No, but I joined a religion that will be a one-world religion simply because it makes so much sense and fulfills every prophecy from all previous religions about the appearance of a great Messenger from God Who will bring world peace. But the Baha'i Faith will never outlaw any religion nor will it outlaw atheism. Neither will it ever be a certified, state-mandated religion. That goes against its very basic concepts. One thing that is not well known is the Baha'i Faith is very probably the most democratic organization of any sizable group in the world.

I could mention more than these two, but I will confine my comments to Atheists and Christians. Atheists have an extremely hard time explaining the Baha'i Faith since it has none of the problems Atheists like to point out as proof of no God or true religion, is much more logical than any of them and still proclaims there is a God. That is partly why so many Atheists are embracing the Baha'i Faith. Christians who believe in the Left Behind Series are finding the very existence of the Baha'i Faith impossible to explain. Either there is no Baha'i Faith or their beliefs are very much in error.

The Encyclopædia Britannica has for several decades stated the Baha'i Faith is the second-most wide spread world religion and adherents.com lists us as the thirteenth largest. I think that is pretty impressive growth for a group that did not have its start until 1844. Of course it is not just the Left Behind group that are having a hard time explaining the Baha'i Faith. My experience has been there are three primary groups in the world. Those who are Baha'is, those who have heard of it but do not know much about it and those who have not heard of it. I have talked to literally thousands of people over the years about the Baha'i Faith. I have read at last dozens of books and hundreds of booklets and brochures proclaiming the Baha'i Faith faulty. I have yet to talk to anyone or read anything that has been written along those lines that did not make statements that show either a great lack of information or their information was very faulty.

Among the misstatements are our preachers are just as corrupt as any others and we are after everyone's money and we brainwash our children. We have no clergy of any kind. No preachers, priests or any other kind of clergy. We never, ever pass a collection plate. If you are not an enrolled member and try to donate you will be politely refused. If you are enrolled, you are expected to take care of your families needs and put away something significant for your retirement before donating anything, and even then your donations are strictly voluntary and confidential. As far as the kids, we are to teach them about every religion and then let them make up their own minds with no pressure at all. And you must be at least fifteen before you can enroll.

Encyclopædia Britannica has for several decades listed the Baha'i Faith as the world's second-most wide spread and adherents.com lists it as thirteenth largest with over seven million enrolled members. I believe there are several times that number if you count those who have yet to enroll. A forced peace may be peace of sorts, but I find one that is built on good, solid principles of unity and is achieved through changing hearts and changed attitudes to be much more attractive an idea and feel that is not just a peace that will last, but the only one that will.

Time for world peace? Time for the Baha'i Faith!

The Baha'i Faith, uniting the world one heart at a time.

I can add only this, and it is in response to your last question. If we claim to be for world peace and claim to be building it, wouldn't it be a good idea to see what the Baha'is  are all about?

    ===================

The Jews await the Messiah, the Christians the return of Christ, the Moslems the Mahdi, the Buddhists the fifth Buddha, the Zoroastrians Shah Bahram, the Hindus the reincarnation of Krishna, and the Atheists - a better social organization! Baha'u'llah represents all these, and thus destroys the rivalries and the enmities of the different religions; reconciles them in their primitive purity, and frees them from the corruption of dogmas and rites.

    (Abdu'l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha v1, p. vii)

    -----------

The worldwide Bahá'í community may well be the most diverse and widespread body of people on earth. It is also among the world's most unified organizations, a feature that is perhaps its most distinguishing characteristic.

Bahá'ís the world over come from all religions backgrounds: Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Zoroastrian, animist, and non-religious. Yet they study a common set of sacred writings, observe a unifying code of religious laws, and look to a single international administrative system for continuing guidance.

    ***************************

"Let your vision be world-embracing, rather than confined to your own self."

    -Bahá'u'lláh

    ************************

Their sense of unity goes beyond a shared theology. It is expressed in an abiding commitment to a global program for moral, spiritual and social progress that represents many of the finest ideals of civilization.

Promoting equality of women and men is a primary goal, as is ending racial and ethnic strife. Encouraging the concept of economic justice for all peoples is another major objective. So is ensuring access to good education for all. The community eschews all forms of superstition and sets for its followers the goal of meeting the highest moral standard. World peace and the establishment of a united global commonwealth has been and remains a distinguishing concern.

Indeed, no other world organization of similar diversity, whether affiliated along religious, political, or social lines, can claim a membership as committed to a vision that is at once so singular, coherent and universal.

  2. Napolean, Marx, Lenin, Hitler, Moa and Pol Pot already tried.

  3. No, religion is an affront to the intelligence of mankind and serves no purpose other than to make good people do evil things.

  4. Isn't that what the AntiChrist will do?

  5. What are you talking about? Every mono-deistic religion out there has been fighting to achieve these goals since the dawn of time.

This includes: Christianity (in all its forms), Judaism, Islam....

Why do you think there are so many wars and problems in the world?

To all those spouting off about the Anti-Christ.....Did you know that the Anti-Christ is the true Christ the Church hides from its followers? I mean, the man behind the myth............hmm..............I can tell you one thing......he definately wasn't religious. The revealing of his true identity would bring an end to the Church and Religion. That's why they call him the Anti-Christ........That's why they tell you he's bad....evil..........Spiritual Awareness and Universal Consciousness is what the Anti-Christ will bring..........Not another man-made, brainwashing, dogmatic Religion.

(Just for having stated this, all Christians will immediately brand me "bad", "evil"- This just proves the point that organized religion has been preparing heavily for the day the people realize they are all full of ****)

  6. Not a chance. Sounds kind of like a cult.

  7. Actually, the Israelites had this type of system in the old Testament.  So, as a Bible-believer, yes, I would join it, if it were like that.  Unfortunately, it would never be like that.  In today's world, if something were to happen like that, it would be a man-made religion rather than the worship of the one true God.

  8. The Ecumenical Movement is already alive and well in the world and obviously that is their goal but to answer your question,  No, I would not join a one-world religion. I have Jesus Christ as Savior and that is something that a one-world religion could never give me.

  9. No I would not.  I know what some people say, but they are sadly mistaken or deliberately deceiving.  If we all worshiped the same God, we wouldn't need a one-world religion to bring peace.

What will this peaceful one-world religion do to those who dissent?  Will eliminating the problem be acceptable in order to keep the peace?  Scary thought!

  10. it is not religions, it is the human greediness behind all wars.

  11. Sounds like Islam. No thanks.Islam promising peace is like a rapist promising love.

  12. It has been promised many times, but you can't force faith.

It led to the burning of heretics by the Catholic (ie universal) church.

More recently, Communism promised peace in exchange for worshipping the leader. More recently Islamic extremeists are trying to take over the world so we can all live peacably under Allah.

  13. Most forms of fairy worship promise peace to those who give up their freedom of thought and follow fairy dogma. That is not a good reason to join one.

  14. The God Yahweh and I are working on a one world religion as we speak. You won't have a choice but to join.

  15. I won't be here....

daughter of avolon*---I hope you're being sarcastic and not just showing your ignorance....he's refering to end time prophecy of a new religion that will make everyone feel good about themselves.......

  16. The thing is, we all worship the same God--in individual ways.  The paths are many; the Light is One.

I would not belong to a universal world religion, even if it were offered to me.

  17. Not religion, but I would help you get rid of all religions, and never start another one

  18. Of course not. I support religious freedom and diversity. While I certainly don't have a problem with supporting global peace, I *do* have a problem with oppressing people with differing religious beliefs. I believe in the separation of church and state.

  19. I don't like the state mandates already and I don't like them treding on my freedom I'd rather die fighting them than to obey what they think I should believe.

  20. not promising, compromising...Dr.Bob Morey calls it "mamby-pamby"

    not best to join...

  21. ONE WORLD RELIGION/ ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT IS THE

TIME OF THE ANTI CHRIST .. 666http://www.ldolphin.org/onereligion.html

    BEST NOT TO JOIN..

JUST PRAY TO GOD TO SET US FREE  FROM ONE WORLD RELIGION

I BELIEVE IN GOD THE ALMIGHTY .

  22. Um ... so much for freedom?

You want a state-mandated religion that outlaws all conflicting religions? Move to the Middle East.

John E., prophecy or not, I was simply giving an example of what happens when state-mandated religion is in place. No matter what the religion is, it's not going to make *everyone* feel good -- some of us are Atheists, some believe in a male god, others a female god -- there's no way to please everyone. So long as there are freethinking people in the world, the notion of everyone being happy under one state-mandated religion is a pipe dream.

The Middle East is only one example of what happens when one specific religion takes control of a society -- you can also reference Europe in the Middle Ages.

So, I hope you're not simply showing *your* ignorance -- some of us don't believe in prophecy, no matter where it comes from, and state the facts as they are. And the fact is, if one religion is going to control everybody, you're going to get a situation very much like the one in the Middle East.

  23. No way

That just screams totalitarian dictatorship and nothing usually goes well when those are in place.

  24. I like my freedom better. Besides, we would just find something else to fight about.

  25. I absolutely would not join a one world religion because it is the beginning of the future one world government prophesied in the Bible. The effort to create a one world government has already begun with the creation of the European Union, the African Union, the South American Union, the Asian Union and the advocation of the North American Union.

On one of the highest hilltops in Elbert County, Georgia stands a huge granite monument. Engraved in eight different languages on the four giant stones that support the common capstone are 10 Guides, or commandments. That monument is alternately referred to as The Georgia Guidestones, or the American Stonehenge. Though relatively unknown to most people, it is an important link to the Occult Hierarchy that dominates the world in which we live.  The Ten Commandments for the New Age

were provided to the world back in March 1980 by "a small group of Americans who seek The Age of Reason".

THE MESSAGE OF THE GEORGIA GUIDESTONES

    1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

    2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.

    3. Unite humanity with a living new language.

    4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.

    5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

    6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

    7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

    8. Balance personal rights with social duties.

    9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.

10.Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

Limiting the population of the earth to 500 million will require the extermination of nine-tenths of the world's people. The American Stonehenge's reference to establishing a world court foreshadows the current move to create an International Criminal Court and a world government. The Guidestones' emphasis on preserving nature anticipates the environmental movement of the 1990s, and the reference to "seeking harmony with the infinite" reflects the current effort to replace Judeo-Christian beliefs with a new spirituality.

In order to stabilize world population, we must eliminate 350,000 per day.  - Dr. Jacques Cousteau

What is the true significance of the American Stonehenge, and why is its covert message important? Because it confirms the fact that there was a covert group intent on

    (1) Dramatically reducing the population of the world.

    (2) Promoting environmentalism.

    (3) Establishing a world government.

    (4) Promoting a new spirituality.

Certainly the group that commissioned the Georgia Guidestones is one of many similar groups working together toward a New World Order, a new world economic system, and a new world spirituality. Behind those groups, however, are dark spiritual forces. Without understanding the nature of those dark forces it is impossible to understand the unfolding of world events.

The fact that most Americans have never heard of the Georgia Guidestones or their message to humanity reflects the degree of control that exists today over what the American people think. We ignore that message at our peril.

  26. No. How about a movement where we just love one another.

  27. No!  My faith is in God, not religion.

  28. Absolutely not. This exact scenario is prophesied in the Book of Revelation. The Antichrist will establish a one-word government and religion. (Speaking of one-world government, can anyone say "UN?") During the reign of the Antichrist on earth, converts to Christianity will be persecuted. The Left Behind series by Tim LeHaye is a good series of books for a dramatized version of events about the End Times.

  29. Would you join a one-world religion that promised global peace and outlawed all other religions? NO

Wouldn't it be best to Join? No its the religion of the devil that will be headed by the false prophet during the tribulation period.

The one who declares the Antichrist a person or called beast in revelations that will do mighty miracles to cause people to worship the first beast.
