  1. Yes, the imperial overt actions of Russia to destroy an ally of the west in order to gain more territory for Putin's empire. thier cuase is a cause worth fighting for. These people wish to be our allies and we have much to gain by supporting them. The enemy of my enemy, is my friend. They offer a port, access to energy stores, a capable and educated civilian work force, a desire to be free and a part of NATO, a desire to govern themselves as a democracy, ( something the democrats forgot about). The desire to be free, and punch the mealy mouthed agressor, wether they be greens, activist, or the evil empire, is still a strong driving desire in a lot of people in the world today. I know plenty of soldiers who would love to give the Russians back what they gave us in other theaters of the world.  Those of us who are pioneers and go getters, still wish to see the little guy win one, especially if they want to be free. Its a life and a choice, worth fighting for, and I dont mean by litigation, I mean by full force whatever it takes to be free. "Freedom" the ultimate release from the HOA, or whatever tries to fetter you. etc..

  2. yes

  3. No, international volunteers tend to end up very seriously dead.

  4. Finger - I think fighting a large conventional army would be easier than an unconventional one. Especially in the sense of fighting in a conventional military yourself. At least you would know who to target.

To answer the question. Well... If a person believes significantly enough that their involvement would either make them proud, or benefit them by benefiting their country, then I could see why someone would decide to help fight it. They would have to wholeheartedly believe in those reasons, then have the drive to fight this war, and the initiative actually go over and join the international Army.

Would I join? h**l no, I don't want to sign my life away to some foreign government and policies, joint commanded or not. Not to mention I don't fully understand the reasons of this war, nor do I care. If the threat is imminent to my country, or we are actually being invaded and the enemy has set foot on my soil, THEN I will join the military, and only my American military, to make a difference and defend my home.

  5. yea i would and i will if i can, i think the cause is worth the risks.

  6. No, we have our own war going on. Why join someone elses?  I will however say good-bye to the few I knew here while they return home to fight.

  7. I would in Russia side couse Goorgia and US with CAndom LIsa are  cruel morders of civilian Osetian's and rusiann's peacekeeper

  8. In all truth, yes I would and I will if anybody can tell me if there's an organisation coordinating international volunteers.

I realise that for most of us, it seems a hopeless cause to get involved with but those are the only ones worth fighting for.  Not trying to sound dramatic or over-emotional.  Just how I see it.

Please email me if you know who I should speak to.

    thanks

  9. Before America was the colony of Great Britain, now Great Britain colony of America

  10. Yes, I'd gladly join a volunteer army to support Georgia, who is our ally.  Russia and Putin have been flexing their muscles too much lately.  If we allow Georgia to be overrun then Russia will likely take that as a green light to invade other breakaway republics like Belarus, Ukraine, etc.

Think before WW2 when Hitler was moving into areas and annexing countries like Austria and Hungary and no one did anything.  If we don't do something now, this could be the flash point of the next World War.  And I'm sure our politicians are taking it very seriously and not shrugging their shoulders and saying 'it's not my fight'.  Well, it is.  This is what allies do for each other.  They have shed blood helping us in Iraq, its time we help them.

Sign up Americans, get off your couches, quit 'playing' army on COD4 and BF2.  Remember America is made up of a 'volunteer' army and most of the soldiers from the Civil War, Revolution, Mexican War and the War of 1812 were volunteers.  I'd rather die helping my neighbor than sitting on my butt gorging myself on McDonalds...the fight is worth it, so lets do something already.

  11. Where do I sign up?  They've supported us, let's return the favor.  If anyone has a link please contact me.

    Thank You!

  12. h**l no, georgia brought this on themselves i could care less

  13. what am i fighting for? american georgia?russian georgia? either way i doubt it. to me its not worth killing, unless i am fighting for socialized medicine.....

  14. Why would I fight someone elses war?

  15. Against the Russians?

    Forget that.

They aren't untrained insurgents using weapons for the 50's and 60's, they're damned crazy.

Besides, Georgia will most certainly lose militarily without significant foreign intervention, and the cause really isn't worth fighting for if all this conflict is about is South Ossetia.

If it becomes a question of Georgia's survival as a sovereign country, then that gets more serious.
