  1. What will writing such a thing accomplish? it would only be your opinion vs. theirs.  They have the seats and the elite college law degrees.  Not to say that your document would not be compelling, but if it was or not would be irrelevant, if you want to change things, you have to do it the hard way, with the political maneuvering and alliances, or by creating a movement.

  2. Get real.  Each has studied law and by now has their own interpretation of US Constiutution imprinted in each's head.  The 2d amendment is clear: citizens ready to engage in militias can have guns...

  3. well, it is a ninth grade high school civics assignment.  I'm sure first year law students are required to have it memorized.  Therefore I'm assuming that all Judges/lawyers have read the constitution.  So, it would be a waste of time and tax payer money to actually get a congressman to draft up a bill and staff it through congress to make it a law.

I assume that you also know this and are trying to make a bigger point.  I agree, i wish they would stick to what it says.  i wish they would also consider the Declaration as a founding document of law and intent.

  4. Happily.

  5. Yes. I think they'd benefit from it. Sometimes I feel like my 13 year old cousin knows more about US government than those in US government

  6. Yes, The Cat will request his human to sign anything to require that.  The Cat believes he may know more than the supreme justices do.  But of course he thinks that.  He's The Cat.

  7. sounds like a good idea i been thinking of that my self why dont them b******s read the Constitution

there nothing in there that says our wages can be taxed by the IRS

you seem like an intelligent person....that's hot

  8. Your posts show that you have very little comprehension of our system of government...

Suppose you are able to get the bill passed...how will it be enforced?

The separation of powers does not allow any branch of the government to force any action upon the others....

PS...to Joe D...I just finished law school and at no time were we required to memorize the consitution, we had to be able to discuss at length what the important decisions were and how certain justices might interpret hypothetical laws...but no memorization.

  9. I'm sure they have but some people have different views on it.  Some are very strict in trying to interpret it.  Some think it is something to needs to evolve and change.

I tend to follow the strict interpretation movement myself.  If it needs to evolve, there are remedies for that.
