So, I love ebay. About a week ago I bought a picture on ebay and the computer used my old address. When I realized what happened, I tried to intercept the package, but was to late and it was delivary (with my name on it). Clearly, whoever signed for it knew that it wasn't their package. Is it just me, but wouldn't a good person say something to the UPS person, instead of signing for the package and keeping something they did not pay for.

  1. I would not keep it but some people believe what is delivered to them or is put in their mail box belongs to them.

  2. I don't think I would.  Our family often gets mail that was supposed to be for neighbors, but we don't open it or anything.

  3. Well for some persons, it doesnt bother them at all to keep something that aint theirs. Or may be they dont know where to forward it to. So dont dream about recovering it. Instead there are ways to recover your dues. You can always ctc ebay and tell them their mistake and reverse the cerdit card transaction with proof of non delivery and mistake from their part.

you can also contact the person at your old address and let them know your address to forward it...if they do, well you are a lucky man!

if yo uact, it is worth something!

  4. No, to keep something that you know is clearly not yours, is not being truthful, and meanwhile someone else is having concerns and worries about what has happened to it, knowing it was sent, yet not recieved.  you would need to contact ebay management I would think, and let them know what has happened, so as the wrong can be righted, and any discrepancies against the sender can be wiped clean.

i think that is what you would like done for you, isn't it, if the situation were reversed?

  5. people are so greedy.  No one should keep a package that does not belong to them.
