  1. i would make her pay me back!! lol

  2. First of all I wouldn't have spent that much in the first place. I find it odd that they are divorcing that quickly. As the daughter's mother, I would suggest that before they do divorce, and since you spent so much money on their wedding, they should go to counseling before throwing in the towel.

  3. I would tell her my disappointment and ask for some of my money back!

She gets married again, she pays for it!

  4. Kill her, no. But I would ask someone to kill me for being stupid enough to spend 45K on a wedding!

  5. No I would just always feel happy about myself.

  6. Killing would be too good..I'd force her to stay married until I got my money's worth...what's 45K of misery equal to now adays? lol....

  7. Yikes. No, but I might want to! However, I am wondering if the divorce might have been predicted...not because of cost of wedding, but if she was flaky before...

  8. I'd definitely kill myself.  What a waste of money.  My fiance's aunt spent 15,000 on a wedding that lasted 6 months, I thought tht was bad enough!!

  9. probably, but I never would have spent that much in the first place.

  10. I wouldn't kill her, but I would maim her a little...That's ridiculous--the 45k price tag, and the Hollywood-type divorce.

  11. Thank Goodness I have boys.

  12. Nope but I'd let her know next time she gets married she's on her own one wedding per child!

  13. Nope.  I'd kill myself for spending $45k on her wedding.

  14. no, i'd killing myself for being dumb enough to spend that much money on the wedding in the first place. That is ridiculous!

  15. No. Murder is no excuse.

It is smarter for them to divorce now rather than when they have 5 kids.

They are making a smart choice if they can't keep it together.

Whomever paid $45K made the CHOICE to do so. It's there own fault

  16. 1- if you let her spend the money that your own fault.  that's what budgets are for

    2. no matter what cost was spent would you want your daughter to stay in amarriage if she were unhappy?

  17. No, because I wouldn't have spent $45K on her wedding to begin with....

And, I wouldn't kill her, because like my mom frequently reminds me about MY children, you shouldn't kill them, because they are NOT worth the jail time!!!

Seriously, there's nothing the mom can do here.  My primary concern would be for my daughter's happiness.  While I wouldn't be happy about her getting divorced, what I spent on the wedding wouldn't matter to me at that point, I would just want her to be happy.

However, I certainly wouldn't pony up another $45K when it's time for her 2nd marriage.....

  18. I'd never spend $45,000 on a wedding. Anyhow if two 'adults' think they're old enough and mature enough to get married, they should pay for it. jmho

  19. Nope, but I'd appoint a conservator to manage my money. Anyone who'd spend $45K on a wedding obviously isn't of sound mind.

  20. I'd be kicking myself in the teeth for spending that much. And when she gets married again I wouldn't give her a penny.
