I won some stuff almost 2 weeks ago and it hadn't arrived so I emailed the seller who said they posted it 1st class last Tuesday. By Saturday it still hadn't arrived so I emailed again asking how long they wanted me to leave it before claiming my money back via Paypal buyer protection.

I got a narky response basically implying I didn't trust they'd posted it.

Yesterday I enquired at the post office & was told the seller should ask for a trace after a 4 day period (max for 1st class post) so I let them know.

I got yet another reposnse saying, there is no point in doing that yet, I am sure your parcel will arrive this week.

Guess what - it arrived this morning and was posted 1st class YESTERDAY!

The liar!

Is it worth leaving negative feedback on eBay these days?

  1. Please take into account that sellers have a difficult time sorting out the fakers and scam artists from the genuine buyer

.. so many eBay / PayPal accounts have been 'phished' and so much fraud is taking place, that most sellers now delay shipping a few days in order to give the real account owner time to 'spot' the fraudulent use of their account and report it....

Also be aware that now sellers are not allowed to leave Negative feedback for buyers, more than a few buyers will be tempted to find some reason to 'reverse' payment and keep the goods ..

  2. they didn't hold up their side of the bargain, and they lied about when they posted it, so yes leave the negative feedback and clearly state the reason.  As to whether it is worth it will be up to the people who look to buy from that person!!

  3. no, i wouldnt. why cause more ill feeling? you've got your goods . there could be all sorts of reasons for the delay. maybe the seller thought it had been posted. maybe hes got loads of orders to do and cant cope. i would give him a positive but mention delayed posting.

  4. Yes - of course you must tell the truth about this seller, that is what feedback is for, If you do not wish to do this, then ignore feedback all together.

  5. Yes, they're a bad ebayer!! I hate people like that, I have had terrible experiences and finally shut down my account!

  6. Remember, these delays do happen sometimes. But the fact that he hasn't even apologised is terrible.

I waited ages for my delivery from one guy, 2 weeks later it arrived the day before i emailed him to cancel, I left him a negative and so he just left me a negative and told me the first one 'got lost in the post' and I wasn't understanding.. bullcrap.

  7. leave a neutral rating- give your reason as you didn't think he posted it on the correct day but say if it was the correct item and in good condition.

theres no need to cause a huge rift, could it not be that he thought he'd posted your item but posted someone elses instead?

  8. Of course you should!

Honesty is the key to ebay and if this person is not not honest then they deserve negative feedback

  9. Yes, definitely leave negative feedback. I think they were hoping you would forget about it and they wouldn't have to send it. Crooks.

Leaving negative feedback warns others to be wary of vendors who are reliable, rude, and are up to no good.

    xx

  10. Yes i would to let others no what he is like.

  11. it depends. i would leave neutral. since you did recieve the item, leave feedback stating you bought on 'x'day, postmarked 'x'day after 2wks of asking for item they shipped! state slow shipping. rude and bad customer service. trust me, i have lost 75$ over some jack *** sellingme 2 controlers shipping 1, then took 2 months to get in contact, never set the last one, and ebay couldn't help me. NEVER will i buy from that guy@

  12. I might add a comment about having to wait for delivery,,I have seen similar comments posted about others and tend to stay away from them,,however I did post something to  a buyer in Antibes France,,it took 3 weeks to get there and I was in constant email contact with them,,they left me very positive feedback,,so it goes both ways ,,if you personally feel it was an excessive waiting time then say so,,it gives the rest of us an idea about the seller

  13. Well I wouldn´t if they had been nice but if they lied and then had the cheek of getting narky AND being so STUPID as to post it whit a label that´s clearly showing the date (I know it always shows, but they´re still not very clever cos they should know you´d find out)...but I wouldn´t want them to leave me negative so I´d wait until they gives it to me and then I´d leave neutral...negative if they p*** me off.
